Nope. I'm on twitter. My handle just says nothing of what you said it did![]()
You said this is Matt's best game. You dogged splitter. So unless you are saying an average game for Splitter was better than "Matt's best game of the season", what are you talking about?
Nope. I'm on twitter. My handle just says nothing of what you said it did![]()
Well here is the bad news. Tiago cant jump and his hook is as flat as a pancake... and its funky at that.
The good news is he is tall and can move. He is very agile. I feel much more comfortable with him this year. Both Bonner and Tiago got put in spots that they dont excel in. Bonner had to rush his 3, Tiago had to try and produce offense on his own. In fact most of the guys were doing extra things they are not good at. Green over dribbling, Jackson trying to create for himself and then just relying on the 3 with tired legs...
I liked the effort. did not like the last 4 min.
I stated individual things.
Why is that so hard to understand?
Splitter getting rejected like a Hedo Nesterovic was annoying.
Bonner with no Duncan I thought played his best defense of the year and played well all around for him.
Dont see where you think I'm saying bonner omgz >>>> Splitter
Honestly, statistically he probably has been better in the post because it seems like Duncan is either really good or really not. When he's on then of course you give it to him but at his age it really depends on the day more than anything else. Sort of like what I see the Celtics going through quite a bit these days.
Although his misses are super ugly, Tiago's been getting better and better in the post. He can back men his size down without problems now and a lot of his misses come from rushing his shot. That's a confidence thing more than anything else and with a few more reps I have no doubts he'd be even better. Of course, his strength is still pick and roll but during a game like this one they should've fed him the ball more.
They both have their strengths and weaknesses (Tim obviously way more strengths than weaknesses), but 4 down probably should be called for Tiago more often between the two of them.
Tim is still a fantastic player and when he's feeling it he should get priority, but he's been getting most of his points facing up and shooting this year anyway.
That's my opinion though (and you obviously disagree) but I've tried to be as fair as possible with it.
Don't disagree with any of this.
Love Splitter.
Hope he finishes games with Manu Parker Duncan and Jackson.
Righty O....
It was a typo and I corrected it. LOL trying to take shots at people's typos.
PATHETIC, when you couldn't read the first statement I made correctly.
Yes Neal did. He was the only one that scored in crunch time. I'd say that defenitely earned him minutes out there.
With him only having to concentrate on shooting he would have been much better off than trying to guard Harris, run the team and score all the points. That's what Pop had him doing out there. He put more of a load on Gary than any other player on the team in crunch time.
Now that I've typed that out, Pop seriously put too much pressure on Neal and put him in a bad spot expecting him to do it all was foolish of Pop.
First thing you need to look at is that he can't consistently guard players like Harris. Asking him to do all the other stuff on top is stupid coaching from Pop.

What my Twitter says:
What you claim:DPG21920: Knowledgable Spurs Fan
I disagree with some of those takes.
Mills played the best defense on Harris than anyone else. Diaw was solid and has been in more pressure situations than Bonner. Apart from his reaching and getting cheap fouls his defense wasn't too bad. He should have played instead of Bonner to finish out the game.
Kawhi, the reason is simple. It's shooting. It's tough to play him in crunch time because Pop probably thought he needed more shooters out there.
Bonner you can throw away the game because he's had like 3 of his best ever career games at SLC in Utah. No idea why he plays so good there. He doesn't usually back these type of games up against any of the elite teams.
Lmao educated spurs fan.
That's even better.
Sorry that I didn't take the time memorize your "profile"
You were right I was wrong I apologize.
Splitter played good but damn he gets blocked too much, he needs to be a more effective post scorer & quit being so soft. But man Jack was beyond terrible & Mills is just a joke.
Aww poor Gawwy had too much to worry about.
So he's not good enough to shoot open threes and guard?
Even more reason to sit his ass down.
Mills is a joke?
Wtf?
The day I get laughed at by a retar....nevermind. Welcome back. Again.
How is he not?
He's just a chucker & a ball stopper, we already have Neal who is obviously the better of the two.
So Bonner should sit too then.
This is what I am hoping. A lot of work on the post game. He has quick feet, he just has to keep working on his hook and up and under pivot. Maybe next season.
So what I am saying has no logic at all? Does Gary not suck at guarding speedy PGs? Does Gary excel at shooting?
You don't think it would have been easier for Gary to be guarding a slower shooting guard and looking to get open on offense to shoot a set shot instead of trying to run the team?
Who would you have put in with Mills at shooting guard if Gary was to be on the bench?
You don't think what I am saying is logical? Please tell me what you would do. And don't give me an answer of "I don't know I'm not the coach". Who would you play?
Please answer.
Yeah I'm not expecting him to put it all together this year. I do hope he'll do it eventually because he has the potential to be very very good.
I'm just glad that using your logic above, you agree Matt Bonner should "sit his ass down."
Thank you. Glad to have you back, Tpark.
Go ahead and finish calling me re ed.
All because I disagree with you on a basketball take.
Oh if only I was as educated.
Lol always gotta turn it back to Bonner.
Man it's like a sick fetish with you guys...
I already agreed with you about sitting Bonner's ass down.
And what do you mean... you guys?
I would've gone Mills Green Jackson Diaw Splitter down the stretch.
I'm not the coach so just pissing in the wind and no Neal wouldn't have guarded Gordan Hayward any better.
