You can have NBA League Pass on Time Warner Cable, so I assume you can get it on Comcast. It's not a Dish/DirecTV thing.
NFL Sunday Ticket is just for DirecTV however.

I have comcast broadband/cable. If i need to get league pass do i have
to switch off the cable and get dishtv/directv?. Is there no other way
about like watching it on pay per view on comcast or online rather get a
dish/directv.

Ya. My Comcast had the League Pass Preview, and it has the channels for League Pass listed, so I am guessing that you can get LP from Comcast.
