Cracking down on repeat DWI offenders

Since September, drivers in Texas found to have a blood-alcohol level nearly twice the legal limit of 0.08 can face a stiffer penalty.

How much would BigBooze spend to kill a campaign to reduce USA's level to 0.05?

And are libertarians against regulating alcohol blood levels in vehicle drivers at all?

RP wants to kill all kinds regulations, like kill the EPA, and trust corporations to self-police

Why would he not expect drivers self-police their drinking?

    -designated drivers

    -taxis

-Succeed is possible, but penalties are not sufficiently dissuasive.

    OMG....

Grey, I have to agree with Bouton's over you on this one.

    That's pretty ed up...

Now I agree a strict 0.08% is dumb, but is there any good way to determine a level?

I would like to be able to say don't worry about a level as long as someone can drive, but that gets difficult too.

I know a Woman I dated 3 years ago who recently got a DUI. Her story is finny and sad at the same time. After getting frustrated with the cop who stopped her, she just told him to give her the breathalyzer, and she would blow a 0.16%. that was what she did too. She just knew it by her body weight and how much she drank. At least she impressed the cop in one way...

Anyway, she was on her way to pick up a friend who called her because she drank too much. This girl at 0.16 can hold it well, and decided to go. Was stopped because she was weaving a little from texting.

    My God...

As smart as she is, she sure was dumb that night.

I told her if she needed help, to let me know.

    excellent.

everybody SERIOUS knows self-regulation NEVER works.

And if there's no law against drunk driving, then there can be no such crime, and no punishment.

Just have your insurance company pay off liability for vehicular manslaughter.

oops, I guess you Randians are against the "driver personal mandate" to buy insurance from a for-profit insurer?
