Was really hoping we were done with these threads
For those not watching, Gary Neal got leveled by a Kurt Thomas screen and left the game. He was favoring his shoulder/neck/collarbone area. He went to the lockerroom with Will Sevening ... and neither returned to the bench. (When Sevening is gone that long, that usually indicates X-rays are being taken.)
If Neal is hurt, let's hope it's something that can heal before the first playoff game ... which means in the next four or five days.
crazy that the Spurs could play 4 games this week including Game1 of the 1st round of the Playoffs.
that sj trade looking better now
and sj now has got his legs back
People making a fuss out of this. I think he'll be fine.
Precautionary measures were taken tonight. That is what I will go with.
My initial reaction was that he sprained his shoulder based on the way he stiffed up his arm and that he was babying his arm area after the play.
If that's the case, he should be ready come playoff time.
He's either got a dislocated shoulder or a broken collar bone. A stinger doesn't last that long. I hope I am wrong.
Goddamn FSW, do your job and give an update on Neal.
Your useless, Rick Renner.
sad news, but better neal than ginobili.
the playoffs are here and pop will give tony and manu more time on the court anyway, so the PG position is taken care of. the rest of the time, some combination of green/sj/ginobili would take care of SG.
You knew someone would have to get dinged up tonight, things were going a little too well.
Can Corey Joseph be called up for the road trip?
Feel free to delete my thread, timvp. Only need one thread for Neal updates, tbh
Shouldn't need Neal in Round 1, so he'll have time to rest up at least.
Rick Renner has the most irritating hair of anyone ever
I know the Spurs wouldn't want to pull him away from the Toros while they are playing in the Finals...but they might have to.
Tony and Manu shouldn't play the next two games, and if Neal is out....you can't run Patty 48 minutes.
I think Mills will do a good job in the interim..hopefully nothing serious.
Said it in the game blog but I'd rather run Blair at the point than have TP or Manu play the last 2 games.
Better news....Luva got pinked. lol
Hope he's OK. I hope they're just being cautious and checking everything.
Off to work so appreciate this thread for updates.
He wasn't holding his arm walking to lockerroom it was down by his side.
Definitely was not a dislocation, or his arm would have been dangling lifelessly and he woulda been writhing in pain
