I think the first step is to find back up point guards that know how to pass - period.
This has nothing to do with Patty Mills or Gary Neal lacking a "pass first" mentality. They're literally not skilled enough to run pick and roll to the point where it's even an option for them.

Folks here are complaining about who is playing how many minutes, but we have to remember that these guys have to play their fourth game in five nights tomorrow and then have a playoff game starting soon.
I'm assuming the coaches are trying to avoid over using our best non-star rotation players, i.e., Splitter, Leonard, Green, etc. So you get the third team in quite a lot.

Stephen Jackson is below average at running the pick and roll with Splitter and he has a "pass first" mentality. Problem is he turns the ball over more than he actually feeds Tiago for assists.
