    Now THAT'S ownage!!!

Whats really funny is Loose Cannon claims to be such a beloved spurs fan yet he tries a cheap shot against them saying how empty the SBC center was??? Which was stated it was a sellout, lol...He must of racked up quite a few points on the saintsreport for that comment....Oh don't worry, i'm sure this thread is being posted there...LOL....So say CHEESEEEEE guys!!!!!!!!!

  4. #79
That Loose Cannon guy got severely owned. Another reason for empty seats at SBC is because of scalpers. I think the Nuggets series last playoffs you could get tix the day before. I got one for Game 4 of the Suns series the day of the game but that's because Ticketmaster releases a few in the afternoon. Otherwise you were screwed if you didn't get in the first minute they went on sale or were a season ticket holder with first dibs.

The real attendance test for BR will be the next couple of games after the novelty has worn off. Same for SA. At least LC admits that people won't be able to afford more games. That's a big reality for La.

You KNOW that you cannot boo when you're on post #69

    True. Very, very true.

Warning. Ownage Ahead. Not For The Weak At Heart

But all this time you have said that Baton Rouge and New Orleans can support it.....Have you finally seen the light...Welcome.

Funny, I didn't see you there in the stands. What section where you sitting in?
Section N23. Southwest endzone, very top row of the lower level.

REMIND ME HOW FULL TIGER STADIUM WAS AT THE END OF THE SAINTS GAME?
What does that have to do with anything?

    - How full was the Spurs game at the end on Tuesday?

    - The Saints are not a Baton Rouge team. Baton Rouge is an LSU town. If the Spurs played in Austin and laid an absolute egg, and were down by 20, the stadium would be 4/5 empty. What does that have to do with San Antonio's support for the Spurs? Nobody is saying the Saints should play in Baton Rouge permanently.

    - Despite your self-claimed "ownage", you aren't even addressing the real facts here. The Saints are #10 all time in attendance in the NFL. In New Orleans. Not Baton Rouge. The fact that Baton Rouge SOLD more tickets than San Antonio did for either of their games is just "lagniappe" on top of the fact that New Orleans has proven time and time again that it can and will support the Saints.

You haven't owned . Despite your little minions huddling around your balls for another taste of your incredible use of HUGE FONTS and disconnected logic, you did not make one valid point in your post.

So much for your "ownage". Zzzzz.

  8. #83
I've got one of those. Do I own him, too?

  9. #84
I'm not the one throwing out one-liners and then claiming ownage.

I don't believe in the mantra of "he who has the biggest font owns all", as someone here apparently does . Apparently I was owned by the "rhetorical" question of where I sat in Baton Rouge. I gave an answer. If that makes my friend here "owned" so be it but I'm not going to go around with my out trumpeting how much ownage I just spewed. When you know, you know.

Nice. You Went Out Of Your To Take The Time To Do That.
    Awesome.....but only one problem.

The statement....."Funny I didn't see you in the stands" was about you talking about the Spurs

And perhaps we can let the judges decide who has been the dog and who has been the fire hydrant in these exchanges.

Oh. What does me being in the stands of the Spurs game have to do with anything?

Are there magical fantasy-land fans that don't show up for the television cameras but show up in real life?

  12. #87
I was just going to clarify which game you had referred to. LOL

I need a bowl of popcorn.

    Because you sound like an

we you speak of topics you don't have 1st hand knowledge of.

The post of saying that San Antonio can't support the Spurs because the stadium had empty seats at the end of the game is quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever read.

  14. #89
I never said the city of San Antonio can't support the Spurs.

I said that the fan support is not exactly "rabid". This has been brought up year after year by the Spurs organization and the San Antonio media.

The entire point that you have missed completely is that anyone here criticizing fan support of the Saints over the years is barking up the wrong tree.

I would disagree with that...if nothing else look at the Spurs board in this forum. This is the same fan base that was there when the Spurs were bad. you get 400,000 people to a river parade for the championships and 5000 at the airport after a second round series win. As someone who has lived in San Antonio all my life and been a Spurs fan almost as long...I can say with much certainty that we are very rabid, very loyal fans.

  17. #92
San Antonio does support the spurs hard core.....But

"You Don't have to take my word for it"

  18. #93
Samikey, there are a group of diehards in every fan base. Even Jacksonville. Or Toronto. Those on a message board represent that die-hard, informed group.

Bottom line is that fan support comes up almost, if not, every year when talking about the Spurs. There is no denying that. I've been a Spurs fan my entire life and have actually had to defend our support of the team in the past to Mavs fans and others.

Anyway, I don't want to get into a debate about Spurs fans. Like I've said several times, I am a Spurs fan. Bottom line is that Saints fans and Spurs fans have put up comparable support for two totally different franchises - one great, one miserable - for years. The trashing of Louisiana Saints fans needs to stop.

You are correct...although the depth of the loyal fans extend beyond the message board, I was merely using the ones here as an example. I was not trying to imply that only the rabid fans are here. I should have worded that better.

Fan support has never been an issue here in SA...although I can't speak for what happens outside San Antonio. In fact when talk of moving arose in the past...it was that fan support that was championed as a big reason to stay.

The trashing of Louisiana Saints fans needs to stop.
I agree...as does the trashing of San Antonians and Spurs fans. Except Hardberger...he has brought it on himself.

SaintsReport should stop bashing San Antonio for everything we do and are. They need to stop coming here to do it, too. People found out about SR and wanted to hang out with Saints fans, then were slammed, splattered, kicked, then banned. You cannot say them same has happened here...unless you came here to continue a fight that started there. You'll get words back at you, but you won't get banned.

So, now we know which teams you like. Great. You want to get along? Stop arguing.
