SAN ANTONIO -- With the Clippers and Kings having playoff games on Sunday at Staples Center, a scheduling conflict could arise.
The Kings are scheduled to play the Phoenix Coyotes in Game 4 of the NHL Western Conference finals at noon and the Clippers are scheduled to play the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4 of the NBA Western Conference semifinals at 7:30 p.m.
If the Kings go past one overtime period, the start of the Clippers' game could be delayed — possibly to 8 p.m.
And that's very late for us.... .
They should switch the two games. Spurs start earlier.
They shouldn't have held 4 NBA playoff games, and one hockey playoff game, in the same arena, on the same weekend. Who'd have guessed it could be a problem?
lol hockey. Just move the damn hockey game...or cancel it.
TBH, no one would notice...
Then if the Spurs go to OT (heh, like that will happen), it could delay the hockey game + the ice would be poor in any case.
srsly, who in cares bout hockey
It will not go to OT, Kings will win easily
Will there be any extra concern about condensation on the court since they will be changing floors so many times this weekend, and apparently so close to the start of Game 4?
It's always something ed up when you're dealing with LA.![]()
THe COyotes suck, so no OT
I think it would be cool to just leave the ice, and have players just play on the ice surface....maybe the Clippers would have a chance.

Probably Los Angeles, since the Kings are the only team in town that has a shot at actually winning a championship.
Plus, we'd get to see Manu on ice skates...that would be something to see!![]()
People in LA. They were pissed that the LA Times was giving more press to the Clippers than to the hockey team.
Kings are killing the Coyotes so no worries there, especially since it will be in LA.
Just play game 4 Monday. Seriously, what's the point of the back to back? If it goes an extra day who cares? Just space the other series' schedules out a day extra. So what If the finals end on June 20th instead of June 19th or whatever?
Oh delay that ! I've got an eclipse to watch Sunday afternoon and I need more time to get back!![]()
TV. Ratings.
This was my concern. You already see it happen, I wonder if these guys are pushed to assemble the court quicker, if it will lead to more incidents? Who knows? I hope it doesn't lead to any potential player slippages and injuries.
My co-workers, who have realized the Lakers and Clippers have no chance. Kings are pretty damn good though.
What the ?! The kings moved to LA already? And I didn't even know they were in the playoffs....when'd that happen?
It's ok; UCLA will have a great shot to end that drought this coming season.
