Be serious. Nobody is stupid enough to blame Bonner for missed FT's by Splitter. Bonner entered the game with the Spurs ahead by 19. One minute later, the lead was 14. THEN they started fouling Tiago. And Bonner's defense during that stretch didn't help.
And, no, it's not Bonner's fault directly when Tim turns the ball over. But when the other team can collapse on Tim because everyone can see that Bonner doesn't want to shoot it? That's a problem. And yeah, it does contribute to the turnovers by other players. I'm not a huge fan of the +/-, but I don't think it's coincidence that Bonner was -4 tonight.
In case you missed it the first time - when a guy who is out there to spread the floor doesn't want to take the shot, it's a problem. He's got to put them up when he's open, just to keep the defense honest. Yeah, it's better when he makes them. But he's not even a decoy if they know he's going to pass.
