not sure if a good thing or bad.![]()
Saw that, I went and deathorized everything as soon as I did and will be a little more careful about authorizing. I have targeted the ROM that I will stay on, and am just waiting for his next update (4g isn't working on it currently). It is a Sense 4.0 One S port to the e3d. As soon as 4g is working it will be a great ROM.
I have the first Moto Droid, the slider one. It was rooted last year and I want to unroot it and restore it to factory.. is it possible?
Also with no service I know I can connect to wi-fi, but is there an app or a way to make calls / text also?

as for wifi VOIP, I am not sure. You will have to searchreturn to stock
1)download these files
http://www.motorola.com/staticfiles/...iver_4.9.0.exe
http://wonderly.com/bb/DROID/OEM/rsdlite_5.0.msi
http://wonderly.com/bb/DROID/OEM/VZW..._SW_UPDATE.sbf
2)install the first 2 files
3)reboot your phone and hold power + vloume up + the camera button until you see the screen that says bootloader battery ok
4)connect your phone via usb to your computer and reboot your phone and hold power + vloume up + the camera button until you see the screen that says bootloader battery ok
5)open rsd lite and see if it recognizes your phone (basically any entry in the model column)
here are are some useful build.prop tweaks I've encountered along the way, just put the line into the build.prop or modify it if its already in there, save, wipe dalvik cache and reboot
6) click the ... near the start button and navigate and select the VZW_A855_FRG22D_QSC6085BP_C_01.43.01P_SW_UPDATE.sb f you downloaded earlier
7)click start and let it run and reboot automatically (it should work even if rsd lite says the result was fail)
8) you are now on stock unrooted froyo
FRG22D
(optional) 9) go to settings > about phone> check for updates and allow system updates to download and install (allows for a super clean setup if you are planning to re-root)
shouldn't he be able to use google voice?
I believe he can only call others with gvoice, but I have never used it that way
you can use the Google talk app to link up to others on the talk app (through their computer or phone). You can IM, or if they have a microphone, you can talk, or if they have a camera you can video chat.
you can sms or call from the iOS gv client, doubt it is different for android
I can call from the gv app, but it uses my cell not data
Machine, your update is here very shortly:

My sister ended buying an unlocked Galaxy Nexus (with ICS 4.0.1). I promptly installed CM9 4.0.4 and played around with it for a bit. Nice screen. I think such a phone is my upper limit in terms of size, tbh.
Picking up an HTC Evo 4G LTE on Monday for my upgrade. Pretty psyched about it. It really came down to the Galaxy III vs the LTE, but I trust HTC. The Evo 4G I have is still a pretty awesome device.
bought it directly from google play?
htc> samsung
nice choice man![]()
I recently got the HTS One S. I am loving this thing!
Got a good deal on a refurb. She was upgrading from an iPhone 3G![]()
very cool, you will have to give a review.
Agreed. Let us know.
I'm between the same (SGIII and the new EVO).
Also, for those who don't like the two tone back (I don't), a guy over at xda did this:
He just used sandpaper

Looks waaaaaaaaaay better now.
You could get a case and not void your warranty, right?
Hey lee, I am with you for sure, I always wrap my phone in a case and screen protector, but some people really REALLY don't like protecting their phone.
Me too, but screen protectors just don't work for me. not precise enough for games IMO.

These are really good
Loving my Motorola RAZR 16gb. It's still thinner than almost every phone even with an otterbox.
