Two quick camp notes from 24/7...
**WR Jake Oliver had to switch to J10 because of a family function.
**OL/DL Jake Raulerson will be attending both J3 and J10. He'll work OL at one camp and DL at the other.
Seems he's really starting to get noticed.

Per a Lancaster coach, Notre Dame has offered Texas DE commitment Daeshon Hall. Not surprising, but just passing along.
DT Henry Poggi (Gilman School, Ma.) is announcing monday morning between Michigan and Alabama.
As far as academics go, I had both Greenlea and Doyle in one of my classes last year. Greenlea either never showed up or signed the sheet and left. Granted it was a very boring class so I don't blame him but he didn't even show up for a presentation that was a big chunk of the grade. I don't know how he does in other classes but just sharing what I saw.
ATH Chevoski Collins was unable to make the camp today due to a death in the family.
2014 S Jamal Adams, who is ranked #88 overall by 24/7, of Carrollton Hebron showed up to J3.
2014 OT Cameron Robinson was apparently verbally offered during his visit to Austin this weekend. I don't think he was able to stick around for the camp Sunday, but visited with coaches Saturday.
Next commit is in, surprising.
Erik Huhn, Safety, Cibolo Steele

who?
I went to a couple of steele games this past season and this kids name gets mentioned alot when it comes to tackles..Not sure if he the norm when it comes to UT prospects but he has good size and above average football intangibles without a doubt..

Wow, that was unexpected!
Could it mean that, the attribution of Kelley (and possible Greenlea) opens another DB spot? Or is it an indication of the coaching staffs feeling with Bell and Harris?
EDIT: Not sure I got the last sentence out correctly? Hope you guys understand what I mean.
I've read, I don't remember where, that he added over 20lbs of muscles over the last year, and he could add another 15-20lbs before stepping on campus next year.
6'2/6'3, 220lbs with 4.53 speed looks like a solid linebacker to me! I hope he is offered as a linebacker and not as a DB!
I think your exactly right about that...
Texas lost another OT Monday, this time Camrhon Hughes to ACL tear. http://sbn.to/M7IzDk
Hoza Scott in Mack's office today

Little recruiting news... I've heard the Longhorns made a VERY big impact on Hoza Scott.
Kyrion Parker of Alvin (TX) Manvel committed to lsu
He hasn't been talked about at all since he visited Austin for Junior Days back in February. I figured his name would get mentioned in the fall if Texas didn't like where they stood with certain DB prospects. Akina and Diaz must have liked him A LOT and I read he had a great showing on Sunday. I think the staff will still pursue Bell, Harris and Luke but I think Collins is the odd man out for the time being and Smith's recruitment hasn't had any momentum for a while now.
Making Rhodes that much more important for UT.
Good question, Bloeddyr. There's no telling what the staff could be thinking by offering and picking up Huhn at safety, but I don't feel the move was necessarily a reflection of either. Akina and Diaz offered the kid because they like him quite a bit and it's as simple as that. In my opinion, they still want a third DB and will continue to go after the OOS studs.
Great move by the staff to bring Scott in by himself and make him the primary focus. He's a very important recruit for the 2014 class. Talent wise, he's the kind of guy you want to build your defense around.
I had the "who?!?!?" reaction when I read this news but this kid is physically impressive. He's a state champion powerlifter and his numbers in the weight room are downright gaudy. I wish he were two inches taller.
470 lb. bench press
700 lb. squat
325 lb. power clean
Searels has been looking for an additional interior OL even with James committed and I like this offer. He can be really powerful on the inside and will help any team move the ball. He also plays DT for Waco High so I hope he doesn't have a position preference.

Quotes from the head coach of OL/DL Andrew Billings:
"They (Billings and the UT coaches) met before and after the camp. Once they found him, saw what he did in the drills, they offered him," said Waco High head coach Marty Herbst.
"He can move. He really moves quick for a kid that weight 308 pounds. He did a few one-on-one drills and there's nobody that can push him around. He's a state power lifting champion, so there's not one single person that's going to push him around. Once they saw that at the camp, they knew what they had."
"I'm pretty sure they offered him as a center or guard. It's just what the coaches see when they come to practice that stand out. He gives that extra effort that not every other player will give," Herbst said. "He's diving to make the play, he's doing plays in shorts and still leaving his feet to make plays. That's the compe iveness he has. It's really, really rare. If he was 6-7, he'd be a kid that could skip college and go to league."
"He has a really long arm span, longer than most guys that are 6-1," Herbst said. "That's why I don't think 6-1 is going to hurt him in Division I football. His arms are longer than most kids his height."
"He's a little overwhelmed, which can happen when you have about 50 schools calling you from Arizona to Carolina to Minnesota, plus all the schools in Texas," Herbst said. "There are quite a few on him that have been for quite some time. I do not think you can miss with this guy."
