Yes
If OKC had not acquired Derek Fisher, would they still have beaten the Spurs?
Would they have made the WCF?
I'm so tired of him, i wish he would retire already!
Dumb question. Yes, says the Magic 8 Ball.
Thier role players were all hitting shots. If not Fisher, then Sefolosha or Cook
Idk, last year they were close but adding someone thats been there and done that makes a big difference mentally.
Like when we added Elie in 1999, he gave us that killer instinct.
i honestly don't think they win the series without him.
I think Derek was also good with helping with the scouting reports and individual player tendencies of the big 3.
He has more inside info and head to head experience with those 3, than all the Thunder combined.
It helped considerably.
So now Derek Fisher is the reason the Spurs lost?you guys are something else
Welcome to the club, you .
Not the sole reason, obviously without Durant Harden Westbrook the Thunder don't go very far.
But I havn't seen him talked about very much. I saw one article in the Express News after we had gone up 2-0 how Fisher was the one who had been in that position before. That he is saying he knows they can beat us.
Besides that article, I hadn't heard much about him in the media which surprises me. I think his contribution to the team is extremely underrated.
In my opinion when Scott Brooks put Thabo Sefolosha on Tony parker that sealed the series for the Thunder. Parker never been the same since he couldn't have the benefit of exploiting Westbrook. I expect no difference with Thabo on Wade![]()
Great move. Could not get ball movement going like it was in game 2 until game 6. I honestly would not be surprised if Fisher had anything to do with that. He saw firsthand that if you stop Parker, you stop the Spurs. (see 2004)
They would have killed us worse if Maynor was healthy, and without Fisher in the playoffs they probably just have Harden as PG in the second units(He basically was anyway) and have Thabo or Cook as the Other Small in Fishers place.
The better question is if OKC does not win the foul call game would they win finals?
This is the first time that I can remember that a team that wins by the line during the regular season wins by the line in the playoffs. The playoff calls have not affected this team, yet. I suppost that's why so many were cheering for the Celtics in OKC. They know where their bread is buttered and Lebron just might steal the butter knives.
If our backup point guard maynor hadnt of gone down with a season ending injury we may not of went for him
Fisher had pretty much no effect on the series.
Dgaf series is over.
yes without ibaka no
didnt the spurs pass on fish because of mills>!
I guess no, there is a reason he was in the rotation and 3 of the OKC wins were close games.
Every shot he made was a dagger in my heart. But OKC would have still won without him.
no
fisher said he played on a team down 2-0 and won
he was very clutch when it mattered and had nice confidence
heck he shut down splitter
Yes. Fisher had nothing to do with it. Imagine Gary Neal on that team. KD and Westbrook draw so much attention anyone can get wide open looks outside, and the paint is full of Ibaka and Perkins, so there's no help out there.
Harden sucks compared to him, tbh.
