fuk yo musical movie clown
Looks like it has the original ALW music, so should be pretty sweet. Weird to see Fantine played by Hathaway...thought it was an older role, tbh...Jackman and Crowe as Valjean and Javert look pretty well cast, though I thought Rush was perfect as him before.
Hathaway will forever be the who pussied out in "Havoc".
this looks terrible
you're either a film student or a pretentious bag if you think this looks good in the slightest
There's no hobbits sucking off dwarves, so it probably ain't for you, b...
Don't be one of those ignorant assclowns who automatically assume anybody enjoying the one of the classics is pretentious.

That's a very pretentious thing to say.
Maybe he's just not a Hugo fan
Trailer looks okay. I love the stage production and I liked the 90's film version, because of Geoffrey Rush. In this one I'm sure Jackman will nail it, but I just can't stand anything about Russel Crowe. We'll see.
I thought both the 90's version and the stage production are awesome. Hope this one lives up.
My turn to be pretentious! I saw the musical on Broadway in the early 90s and it was fantastic! I'm pretty stoked about it being recreated on film.
Hobbits don't suck off dwarves, get your facts straight
how
I'm not. I love classics. But this looks more boring than watching traffic lights change
Not that there's anything wrong with that.
Did you see the one from 98? It was good. Liam Neeson as JVJ, and as has been discussed, geoffrey rush is javert.
are you saying THIS particular incantation of LM? or LM in general?
I'm going to go the extra step in pretension: I'm going to read the unabridged version, maybe in French, then when the movie comes out I'll complain about how the book was soooo much better.
Yeah, I thought the movie was good, but honestly, I missed the music. The score is beautiful and moving. I forgot to say Lea Salonga played Eponine when I saw it. I don't know if I spelled either of those names right.
I've never even heard of Les Miserables until now. I'm talking about this particular movie on its own
You can't be serious. Classic novel about the French Revolution. One of the best-selling Broadway musicals ever. Has toured non-stop for at least 30 years.
well I haven't seen it so I obviously cannot speak for THIS version of the movie, but LM is a great story. If they even do it half justice, this movie will be worth seeing.
Hate to swoop in in defense of CSucks, but though I saw it at the majestic in high school, my wife knew nothing about the story. In fact the first time I mentioned it she said "I think I recognize the name...". All that and I am the math/science/non-artsy person in the family.
This is where you say "our educational system sucks"
