She filed it first and then he later filed one of his own. She claimed a restraining order on the basis of domestic violence which was granted. That means the judge agreed that she needed protection from him.
The violence may very well have been mutual but I have no idea what grounds he made his request on. Maybe she beat back on him. Fact is that he had a restraining order against him approved by a judge from his previous fiancee with domestic violence as grounds. That's the basis. That he also filed one is besides the point at hand. What Trill said is accurate except she never married him. Is it that difficult to understand?
