LOL, Charlotte pays $14 million for a great 1st round pick while Golden State pays $12 million for the next to last pick in the first.

Top 15 protected good move for maybe both sides. Saves the Pistons a ton of Cap from BG also cleans up the back court moving Stuckey to SG.

It was amazing how many Warriors fans thought that was a good move, claiming that getting a first round pick was good no matter what the cost. What idiots.

Good trade for DET. Got out of a contract they never should have had in the first place and Maggette is still a decent player (if he is ever healthy + he's an expiring trade chip). Giving up the first rounder is tough, but with it being lottery protected, a pick 15 or later is clearly worth saving 14M.

Correction: Last pick. The Bulls won the coin flip for #29.

That said, Rich Cho is a very good GM.

I have no idea what CHA is doing..Even if Ben has some game left, they still suck and they eat his contract that he's unlikely to live up to just to have a shot at a draft pick where they suck anyways?

The Bobcats are not going to be contending for a playoff spot any time soon, so accelerating the rebuild would be better.

The reason they took Gordon's contract is that with so many cap space and contracts off the books in 2013, they need something to fill it out so they're over the salary floor.

I get that, but paying 14M for a pick is ridiculous.

Exciting news. It's like Mike Woodson taking over the coaching job in NY. You just know it's going to push them over the top.

GS just traded a ty contract for a tier one, compensated with a 1st round pick though. why some u guys still appreciate that corey is beyond me, hurts his team more then he helps and it seems just a salary-dump move for detroit imho.

Corey gette is a disaster... They're both terrible contracts, so props to the Pistons for pulling a pick outta that. That said, Corey is another great example of getting paid and slacking...
