If Howard came there, decent players would be lined up to play there. No way you stop Howard and Dirk with even a decent outside shooter.

Why would he go to Dallas to play with such a mediocre supporting cast?

He won't. He's going to some other team. Dirk is done.

He wants to be the face of a franchise, but not just any franchise. He's not going to be that in LA, but he could be in Brooklyn. His best best would be to stay in Orlando had he not already in his nest there. He's on the glory train, wants his own team and when he gets it, he will make demands and begin holding the team hostage within a few months.

The league is full of reality TV star wannabes.

Howard is damaged goods with his back problems. Any team that takes him is taking on a huge risk. His game will never be the same...his back will be an issue for the rest of his career.

save the space for some underdogs like hibert and dragic imho. pacers will definitely match whatever offer receives but if hibert doesn't want to play there anymore, SnT him wouldn't be a bad option for them pacers imho. donnie should turn his flattery to THIS now, with hibert signed to max the team would still have enough space for another max signing

you don't know how damn good these s will be tbh

I wonder if there is any chance they can trade for either Iggy or Rudy Gay, and sign Kaman?

    PG - Kidd, Roddy
    SG - Iggy/Gay, Roddy
    SF - Marion, Iggy/Gay
    PF - Dirk, Marion
    C - Kaman, Wright

I think that is a team that would at least allow them to compete. Still not sure that's enough to get past the Lakers now that they got Nash, but they just cant let Dirk's last few great years go to waste. And if they really want to be in the D-12 sweepstakes, I think they are going to need to get pieces like that if they want a remote shot at getting him, along with hoping that Orlando waits and plays out some of the season before trading Dwight.

mavs are reshuffling their roster this summer which might not be a bad move towards the purpose of getting younger. even though they ain't getting neither DH nor Deron, guys they had been after for a year or so, they can still make a few decent signings from the FA and hope the small signings will pan out big results.

if brooklyn turn out to suck asses next season while dallas stay compe ive, dallas will be an easy choice for this when his contract expires a year later, all you need to do is make a SnT deal with the magic and start selling off his D12 jerseys
