Stacked US team merking scrubs... of course i'll watch.

Too many weapons in the backcourt/small forward.

USA lost in 2002,2004 and 2006 because they don't have enough shooters to break the zone defense.

With players like Kobe,Durant,Melo,CP3,Gordon,Love,Bosh,Westbrook... that's not a problem. They can score easily from 6/7 metres


In the paint only Spain with Marc/Pau/Ibaka has a great frontcourt,surely as good as USA if players like Howard,Bynum,even Duncan are out.

These aren't the 90s with Robinson,Olajuwon,Shaq,Ewing,Mourning...Barkley,Ma lone,Kemp... Those teams were too good in the paint

Now the frontcourt is not where USA have the bigger advantage but they don't need it

We don't see NBA in primetime, but still watch it. In the middle of the f'n night. So if you like basketball there is no excuse for you to watch it. At least it will be in the afternoon for ya guys.

Griffin's addition to the team is to primarily fill the void that Chris Bosh left.

With the addition of Griffin, that leaves only 2 spots left for James Harden, Eric Gordon, Andre Iguodala, Rudy Gay and Anthony Davis...

I don't know why A.D. is still being considered at this point. It's a travesty this team is thin in the front court. Cousins would more than shore up the big void.

Since Wade is out, I'd think Coach K picks either Gay or Igoudala to come off the bench to spot Kobe some time.

I think it's obvious why. Nigeria knew the refs were on their side. It was obvious after Greece took the lead, all of a sudden every call mysteriously went to Nigeria, even ones that were so obviously called wrong.

People debate about for example did the refs purposely make Spain beat Greece 2 years ago - well I think we know now that FIBA has an agenda against Greece. This game was a clear highway robbery.

The refs could say the missed call at one end was a mistake, but then Spanoulis was practically thrown to the floor and the guy is holding his arm while he shooting, right in front of the refs and no fouls.

In any league or tournament in the world - the refs blow the whistle on that. Even in the NBA where they have almost an unwritten rule not to call fouls on the last shot, even in NBA that is called 99 out of 100 times.

Unbelievable. But all we will see now is how "Nigeria upset Greece" and all this nonsense. I would have no problem if he lost fairly, but this is too much, to lose like this by the refs in a game where both teams fought so hard and made so many clutch plays.

This was even worse of a robbery than the refs did to Serbia against Turkey 2 years ago.

Personally I would rather see Kobe & Lebron rest I know Lebron is in his prime, but he had a LONG season. And Kobe is getting older ...but as a hoop fan glad to see a good team it just lacks big men.
