Well, hey , Ray did have a down year, I'm sure he didn't shoot THAT much better from 3 than Jason Te... 45%-38%. OH.
Mike Miller did his best Ray Allen impression in Game 5, then the Heat go and get the real thing...

Well played
an open 3 is an open 3 tbh
On paper Ray looks like a very good signing, but without the screens as Baseline brought up, will he be effective?
Has he ever shot well without the screens? We may have to go back to his Connecticut days to find out.
El, any details on the contract?
Huh, i'd take ^ that back.![]()
He gests tons of screens because nobody wants to leave him alone. Not because he shoots better after screens than a wide open shot. The screens are made to give him those open shots.Same Reggie Miller or any other greatest shooter in the history
With LeBron and Wade it will be easy to get those open 3s. He's older but he will have more stamina without run off screen after screen
If we don't get Dwight and B Rush (or J Rich) then Miami will be the favs to win it again
Maybe the Lakers can swoop in and snatch Jones from them. That kid can shoot.
especially since all he needs to do is spot up and wait for LeBron/Wade to be double teamed.
Of course Doc will emphasize guarding him even if it means not doubling LeBron/Wade since he knows Allen's shot is worth more than a drive to the basket.
Don't see Philli utilizing Ray Allen any better than he utilizes other spot up shooters
How many mpg for Ray Ray? I'm interested to see how him and Wade coexist on the floor together.
X Fingers and Knock on Wood...but hopefully that will be against:
Kobe
Dwight
Gasol
Nash
Artest
LkrFan I think that's their end-of-game lineup.
The problem is that Chalmers is far more clutch and can contribute far more than spot up 3s/3s off screens.
I bet he ends up not having that great of a year.
Tbh, wasn't thrilled with Allen because Spo won't be able to draw up an offense to use him. He will come up big in clutch situations with the Big 3 drawing attention. So I guess it's not that bad having a consistent shooter.
B Rush is a real possibility. I'd rather him than J Rich. I hear we reached out to Jodie Meeks too. The Lakers' FO is trying to get younger and add depth/shooters to the lineup. They ain't done yet. Nash was just the first shoe to drop.
He will help with keeping Wade's minutes down, doubt they'll see much time together other than end game situations.
beef with he and Rondo .....
I bet Spur fan is like:" when is Pop gonna make a move." - lol
Something Is bout to go down son.![]()
