Ego and Pride are a mother er and sometimes a bit much in the world of sports. I hope he is still at least providing something in the next three years. It is hard to imagine the league without Bryant, Duncan, KG, and all the other stars that I grew up watching. It will be interesting to see (after James and Durant) the progression of stars after this era is officially done with.

Sadly, Kobe will never realize when he becomes a true TOSB. There is no turning Kobe's ego off. On the one hand, you have to give him credit for supreme confidence, but father time makes sure all things come to an end. And when your body no longer does what your mind asks it to do, you should retire. The question is, how will Kobe go out - like an egocentric punk, or like Tim Duncan who is aging like fine wine?

Depends if the Lakers can get D12 on the team. The Lakers have to somehow be loaded for Kobe to have a good year. He has the best stats from 05-07, but the Lakers stunk, so I am not sure whether you should count those as good Kobe years.
