Take this refs![]()
I HATE Alonzo Mourning. And Dwayne Wade gets away with so much , it's not even funny.
You didn't miss anything. Carter got the ball stripped clean going up at the end of a game and the Nets wanted the refs to bail him out.
besides that at the end of the game you have to earn your bucket unless it is severe contact. If you dont make the shot at the end of the game most likely you will not get free throws to win a game.
Stripped clean? On one replay you could clearly see that his arm was smacked before the ball came loose. The Nets were indeed screwed.
The strip was clean but Alonzo knocking Carter down wasn't.
Carter was out of control and didn't even have the ball by that time. If 'zo jumps up in the air he's en iled to his position. It was a completely sensible non-call at the end of a close game. If Carter had gotten hacked I could see it, but he just went up and begged for a call afterwards, like the loser he is. The only thing the refs gave anybody was giving the players a chance to determine the outcome of the game on the floor, which is good basketball.
No, you could clearly see that his arm was smacked. I saw that the ball was stripped. Obviously the officials saw the same thing in real time that I went back and watched in slow motion.
You need to see the slow motion play again. Mourning was jumping into Carter as Carter was trying to go around Mourning. The ing refs totally ignored it and therefore ed the nets into a lost.
I've got it recorded. Mourning jumped straight up. If Carter was trying to go around him, he did a rotten job because he hit him in the chest and knocked him back, also losing the ball in the process. NBA officials should not, and usually do not, reward you for going in recklessly to try to draw a foul at the end of a game. Carter had no intention of shooting, he just wanted to go to the line.
You can hate on ZO, but you gotta give DWADE his propers.
He literally carries the ball more often than not when he's dribbling, and he gets amazing superstar calls that LBJ doesn't get. He's quick as can be, makes smart decisions and is an incredible scorer with balls the size of Bayonne, but he gets away with a lot more than he should.
