He would be a good addition, unfortunately he will get an MLE contract from some team.
To be fair, we do have the blue font policy

Absolute steal if the Spurs can get him. That's why they won't. Someone else will pick him up.
What about Milicic? He seems about to be amnestied by the Wolves. Then again, Spurs won't get him with what they can offer as well.
What about Aaron Gray? Is he too expensive for the Spurs?
Signed for two years with Toronto.
They had all that left over Nash money to throw around.
would be great but this is sa after all fas not named finley dnt come here
After his pectoral tear I'm not so sure about that.
I'm not sure how Kwame Brown would fit on the team. Between Splitter probable injuries and Duncan not playing all 82 games, there might have some games where he would get some minutes. However, when both Splitter and Duncan would be able to play, he would get some DNP-CD. I don't see a player like Brown being fine with that role.
Spurs might add a 3rd string center but it will be someone with a lower profile than Brown. If they add that 3rd string center, they should too get ride of Bonner or Blair at the same time.
Pretty much. Adding another big would make six bigs on the roster, so the only way the Spurs get another big would be by trading Bonner and/or Blair.
Also, while Brown has been underwhelming for a No. 1 pick (especially since he was drafted out of high school by Michael Jordan, which understandably raises your expectations) he's had role-player level Win Shares.
It wasn't bad enough watching OKC foul the out of Splitter this year? You want a re-play with this clown?
Just verifying: you want a guy who can't play deep into the playoffs because he's an offensive ZERO who can't even make FTs? If so, we'll have to disagree. He's not even worth the minimum if he can't play in the post season without fear of Hack-a-Kwame.
you expect the fifth big to play big minutes in the playoffs?

Kwame Brown has agreed to a deal with the 76ers, his agent Mark Bartelstein says.

Kwame Brown's deal with Philly will pay him nearly 6M over two years. Player option for second year.
The Philly FO is stupid.
Sixes lack an interior defender. What's wrong with Kwame on a "role player" make good deal?
Despite being regarded as one of the great busts in NBA history, this contract will take Brown's career earnings over 64M.

76ers will say Kwame Brown protects the rim. He blocks shots, however, at a Matt Bonnerish rate.
