Rod Boone @rodboone
I asked Melo if #Knicks would be OK at PG with J-Kidd & Felton: "I mean, what other point guards are we going to get at this point?"
@rodboone: Melo on Knicks/Lin: "It's not up to me. It's up to the organization to say that they want to match that ridiculous contract."
Talk about throwing him under the bus. Carmelo is being a sucker on a whole new level.
Lin is the one that threw the Knicks under the bus, his priorities don't match what the Knicks are looking for. He wants to milk every cent from his Asian market, not improve as a basketball player on a playoff team.
Besides, I'd take Felton over Lin any day of the week. When Felton was with the Knicks he ran precise pick & rolls with Amar'e, he played hard. He's the kind of player that needs the limelight to motivate him, which is why he didn't do well with the Blazers. I fully expect him to be in his top physical form this season.
Anthony is a got!
Are they really using Lin's completely misleading small sample size as a legitimate comparison?
The material is certainly dry this time of year.
You done sucking Lin's wonton?
Knicks should have nabbed THE SAVIOR before he became a starter for team Jordan
God forbid the dude go out and find the best contract he can when his coach claims they would match up to a billion dollars. ty take, Sparkle Tiger.

Small sample size or not, even with his turnover prone first year rookie year. You can't deny the kid's potential upside.
Jeremy Lin scored more points in his first five starts than any other player since the NBA merger with the ABA. A look at some notable players through their first five starts.
Player; FG-FGA; FG% Pts; PPG
Jeremy Lin; 49-98; 50%; 136; 27....2
Shaquille O'Neal; 48-84; 57.1%; 129; 25.8
Allen Iverson; 37-79; 46.8%; 107; 21.4
LeBron James; 34-78; 43.6%; 84; 16.8
Kobe Bryant; 27-60; 45.0%; 80; 16.0
Steve Nash; 15-33; 45.5%; 40; 8.0
Note: In his first five starts, Michael Jordan scored 116 points.

Melo is a got though. Wouldn't be surprised if Lin doesn't get matched, that he had something to do with it.
Lin is currently working out in the Bay Area with his longtime trainer, Brandynn Williams, on everything from dribbling to pick-and-roll maneuvering. He said he's trying to help Lin be more efficient making plays, in order to cut down on his high turnover rate from last season in his first-time starter role.
Williams thinks the Knicks will match because they'll recognize "he's legit and want him back."
"He looks really good and he's working hard," Williams told ESPN New York. "All he does is work out and work out some more. He will have a better year this year. He will always be successful because he lives in the gym.
"The world has not seen anything yet."
lol at Stephen A. Smith angrier than usual.

On the Jeremy Lin front, I'm told as of minutes ago that the Knicks - who added Raymond Felton to their point guard mix last night - have still not informed the restricted free agent point guard on whether or not they'll match Houston's three-year, $25.1 million offer sheet. On the other side, it's certainly worth noting that Felton's camp - while not knowing the Knicks' decision with total certainty - is under the impression that New York is not likely to match. New York has until 11:59.59 on Tuesday night to decide.
Marc Berman While Woodson said Lin wears the starter jersey when training camp opens in October, Carmelo piped in it might be good for Jeremy to come off bench behind Kidd. “If [Lin] comes off the bench, playing behind a guy like Jason Kidd, playing under a guy and learning from Kidd, he should take advantage of this opportunity —just having JKidd on our team,’’ Anthony said. No doubt Melo has ball more in his hands when Kidd is on court.Melo
Goddamn Mello is a Luck_The_Fakers_Luck_The_Fakers_Luck_The_Fakers_Lu ck_The_Fakers_.
From a basketball standpoint, Mlo is spot on. That's a ridiculous contract for an undrafted kid with only 23 NBA games under his belt, whose only noteworthy achievement is bukkaking a second tier West team at home...
Felton absolutely sucks. The only thing he does is eat.
I really hope Baron Davis doesn't retire. NY has the potential to have the fattest team in NBA history here. If they still had Curry, it'd be no contest.
