Summer league is to Kawhi as the NBA is to Lebron. Now he knows how it feels.
leonard from suspect ball handling in his rookie season to very good now
Summer league is to Kawhi as the NBA is to Lebron. Now he knows how it feels.
Looks like Kawhi has had a great second half. CJ did some good things too, there will be a roster spot for him if he can build on this.
He doesn't handle the ball much anyway, what with Parker/Ginobili on the team.
joseph should have at least 3 more assists but his teammates blew easy looks.
Leonard, Joseph, and Dawson looked great... everyone else... ehh
I'm going to have to see Joseph do this again but if tonight is to be believed, CJ just took like four steps in the right direction since last season.
Yeah I don't see how his ball-handling will help this team at all. If we were to make use of his ball-handling, it would change the entire Spurs system of winning basketball.
good game... nothing out of the ordinary outside of KL, CJ...
who won?
That one crossover by Kawhi was a thing of absolute beauty.
That's what I like to hear.
Richards with the most intriguing 0-for-3 with two turnovers summer league game ever
+1
If Spurs can't find a good prospect big, and they certainly won't get him from their SL roster, signing Dawson as 6th big could be a decent move.
Denmon odds of making Spurs roster looks very remote. Spurs are loaded with guards and Joseph playing that well won't help him.
Actually CJ having a good game surprised the out of me. Have to give the kid props but let's see if he can keep it up or was it a one game fluke.
Kawhi just told Pop #uck you I can play and I am not sitting in the corner playing with myself next year.
Dawson looks solid would not mind him at all.
Zeller Come on Man.......another Boner.....
Richardson looks athletic just didn't do anything.
JA seems to be about the same player as we was this past season.
I wouldn't read too much into certain player's not seeing time tonight. They played 11 guys. Others should get their chance in later games. Many of the DNP guys are to get no burn the entire SL.
Zeller probably got the start since he was on the Toros with Joseph and Dawson so he at least knows where to stand on offense.
If Leonard gets his way, we'll be like the Heat and not like the Spurs. Heat = depend on one man to move around and look for a shooter to pass to. Or Spurs = pass, pass, pass until you find an open shot.
A starting lineup with three capable ball-handlers?
Might as well sign Richards for the minimum. He's not getting any better overseas anyway, just give him to the Toros.
spurfan never stops entertaining.
I believe it was nerves more than anything.
ChumpDumper, I've seen you talk about it but is there any precedence for a team putting a player they own the rights to on their D-League team without that player being under an NBA contract? Getting Richards to sign straight with the Toros would be great but not sure how feasible it is . . .
I'm not quite ready to give him the 15th spot on the roster but tonight was a step in that direction. He's probably the British Yi but his tools sure do jump off the screen.
