I hadnt even voted tbh. Make it 42-3 with my vote. Regardless I said Pau gets the edge from 08-10, not for the whole comparison. Dirk guzzlers getting butthurt when people dont call Dirk the 2nd PF GOAT or dont think its a travesty to compare MVPau to him.

Neither would I. Dirk has always been and always will be better than Pau.
You can be a championship caliber team with Dirk as your #1 guy. You will never be a championship caliber team with Pau Gasoft as your #1 guy.
If you put Dirk in place of Gasoft those 4 and a half seasons The Lakers would have won 5 championship in a row, and if Pau was in place of Dirk the last 14 years the Mavericks are either a 1st round exit team or don't even make the playoffs. That's the difference between a #1 guy and a 3rd option caliber player.

Dirk did no better as a #1 from 08-10 than Pau did in Memphis, despite having way better teammates.

For those of you calling MVPau soft, lets not forget Dirk and the Mavs had come off of one of the biggest chokejobs in 07'. Followed it up with a first round exit in 08', a second round exit in 09', and a first round exit in 10'. Prior to 11' Dirk and the Mavs had their own label as soft around the league, even big daddy Tyson said that himself. During that same stretch MVPau was busy winning 2 les. It really depends on your type of team:
If you have an elite PG to run a P'nRs you take Dirk.
If you want to run and gun you take Dirk.
If you have an elite bigman next to him you take Dirk.
If you want to pound the ball up the opponents throat you still take Dirk.
If you want to play defense and have enough offense from others you may take Pau but after overthinking it you still want Dirk.

and if you want a team that wins ZERO playoff games you choose Pau over Dirk anyday of the week
