Post some dope, mind expanding do entaries here
The one where they actually found Noah's Ark. Made a believer out of me.
Jiro Dreams Of Sushi is excellent. Just saw that recently.
Also most HBO Do entaries are terrific. White Light/Black Rain will stick with you. And the gas chamber scene in One Nation Under Dog is probably the single most disturbing thing I have ever watched.
Thanks Mono
Apocalypse: The Second World War is one of the best do entaries about the era.
Parts 1-3
I have been watching a series of do entaries called "The Great War and the Shaping of the 20th Century" which is pretty damn interesting. makes Kaiser Wilhelm seem like almost as big a mouth-breather as Hitler.
"Not Just a Game" is a pretty awesome do entary about how politically charged sports are. LOL at how he contrasts sell-out Jordan to Muhammed Ali.
Situation Critical is also a good do entary show, and the Entebbe rescue is my favorite ep.
how come WW2 has alot of good docus especially on the euro front,
while japan part, not many good interesting stories or movies
Exit through the Gift Shop... I enjoyed it thoroughly
In agreement that Jiro Dreams Of Sushi is a great one too
try World War II in HD. It's also one of the best, even though it's a 10-part series.

Just pick one. "Welcome to North Korea" is a good place to start.
Unforgivable Blackness: The Story of Koolaid-Man
Senna
Ehh I don't know. The gifs of people setting animals on fire are worse, then the pics of guys ing animals, then this. It wouldn't be nearly as bad if they didn't cram them full so much and stack them on already dead dogs.
i love exit through the gift shop.
two of my other favorites, which i couldn't recommend more:
that dude felt no pain on his way out
Exit Through the Gift Shop was entertaining, I guess, but it just felt like a Banksy whining movie.
Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.
The Bridge is pretty interesting. And depressing.
I agree with Senna, that was a great doc.
This is one I saw recently, by Werner Herzog.
Good call with Jiro. Great soundtrack as well.
that one is really creepy, didn't know who to believe. one of my friends grew up in Cut 'n Shoot, scary place.
Agreed on that one. It was really interesting.
I just watched Half the Sky on PBS about women's issues around the world. Nothing new, really, but difficult to see the faces of children forced into pros ution, etc in cultures where female children are useless. And inspirational to hear the stories of people trying to change the law and culture.
A few years ago I watched The Elephant in the Living Room, about the exotic animal trade in the US. Very interesting. Fore pure science-nerd entertainment, I loved a do entary I saw a couple weeks ago on National Geographic called, I think, Eating Giants, about cameras aimed at an elephant corpse for a week or two so a team of scientists could study the decomp. Truly riveting. Who knew hyenas start by plunging neck-deep into the ass?
working on watching some of these, thanks guys
A couple I had already seen, like Apocalypse
