I don't blame Manu anymore for Barbosa than I do Stackhouse last year for JJ. It was unfortunate. But it's silly to pretend that Manu was falling because of the elbow rather than an attempt to draw a foul or technical. It's what he does. Every freakin' game. It's just a shame he didn't see Barbosa behind him. Had he, perhaps things would have come out different.

I certainly don't think it was intentional... the landing on Barbosa, not the flopping.

And to you Spurs fans who cry about Raja, just about every one of you wanted him as a FA. I can drudge up the posts. Also, you cheer for your own little "defensive anything it takes" kinda scrapper in Bowen. Or, are all those players that accuse Bowen of dirty play making things up while all you righteous Spurs fans are 100% accurate in your identical claims of Bell.

I don't know. He's pulled Jones who was his teams best 3-point shooter (averaged 14 points and 3 made threes per in the first three games). He doesn't play big when they need a rebound.

And it's not just this year.

I don't think he's very good at all. Nash runs everything on the court. D'Antoni stands there, arms crossed watching Nash shoot those horrible 20-foot, hand-in-face fall-away floaters, never once dreaming of calling an actual play.

Those have to be the worst shots ever.

Three things could have prevented the injury.

1. Raja not swining the elbow
2. Manu not flopping
3. Barbosa not being in rebounding position

It's not one's fault, but the facts remain, Raja 'bowed Manu, Manu flopped into Barbosa's knee, Barbosa's knee decided it couldn't support such weight and was sprained.

I read the first post which drew such ire and figured I'd comment on what I took from it.

From what I've seen, Manu borders on sneaky. Not dirty. That's reserved for Artest and others of his ilk. But he's certainly sneaky and craft, much in the way that Stockton was. His flops have injured people, but it's not intentional. Flying and falling bodies landing on ankles and knees just tend to have that effect.

lets get somethign straight, Manu flops, but most are warranted. you can't tell me you believe Manu is ALWAYS flopping. Most are legitimate fouls, and Manu accentuates them. Nothing wrong with that. Any time someone gets injured because of someone falling on them unintentionally is called an accident.
