"Of course, this was a slip of the tongue (we hope) and Bray isn't really getting paid. And if he is… Well, Tennessee should think about trying to get its money back."
That sums it up![]()
yeah i thought it was pretty tame compared to twitter after the election
http://www.usatoday.com/story/sports...-lahn/1702147/Sharrif Floyd was suspended for two games last year after receiving benefits from a businessman who had mentored him, so Kevin Lahn adopted the Florida defensive tackle. Is it a loophole or love or both?
a couple of my friends who go to UTennessee are convinced Jon Gruden will be their next head coach (i dont know if theyre being serious, desperate or sarcastic).
He has ties to the school, but I think it's delusional. Fans from Arky, Tenn, Kentucky, and especially Auburn, are all a little crazy right now. All 4 jobs should come open at seasons end.
Some of the names Auburn people are throwing around are loltastic (Harbaugh, Cowher, Dungy, Carroll, even Sweater Vest)
Well, Auburn is being investigated. Not tied to Newton, looks like it's for something more recent. Apparently tied to AU's two best recruiters, Curtis Luper and Trooper Taylor. Fml. On the bright side, if true, it would void ik's buyout
symple and other SEC fans, how to you expect SEC defenses to adjust to Manziel and Sumlin's attack next season? considerably more film to study for next season.
I think Florida and LSU adjusted well in the 2nd. Basically they let the d-lines dominate and played tighter coverages. Bama's defense in the secondary isn't quite as good as Florida, LSU, and even Georgia.
Coldest night in Oxford so far this year and there was a Freeze warning I said.
Nice win. What bowl are they going to? Liberty? Freeze is going to do some big things there.
Props to Vandy. 8-4, with a 5-3 conference record. They deserve the Chick Fila Bowl over Miss State.
There are certain things a defense must have/do well to stop/slow down the spread.
Manage your depth - Make sure you have an efficient subs ution system so that you can rotate guys without getting tired or being caught with your pants down.(penalties/missed assignments etc)
Conditioning - Conditioning, conditioning, conditioning
Athletic linebackers - ..Who can cover in space. If you don't have em' you better recruit a couple
Outside pressure - Gotta bring some heat and keep ol' Johnny inside the hash marks and under pressure. Rather have him scampering around in the middle than on the outside where he can tear off big chunks with his feet when the play breaks down
Physical corners - ..Who can play bump and run, knocking receivers off their lines and allowing the pressure to get to the QB. Timing is important in Spread schemes where short passes are often utilized
DL - At least one good one who can get in the backfield with some regularity
Aggy OL is underrated and they run it well, so if you only focus on Manziel then they'll tear you up on the ground. I don't envy SEC DC's
UF and LSU figured it out, I imagine others can too. It will have to be a perfect storm, per par, for Aggy to get through unscathed to Atlanta next year.
Our schedule is very favorable for a run next year. If we can get Joeckel, Matthews, and Moore all back we have a great shot at Atlanta.
As it will for everyone. Alabama and UGA certainly didn't get their unscathed this season. It will have to be a perfect storm, per par, for Aggy to get through unscathed to Atlanta next year.
A&M will have some question marks next year and a lot rides on who leaves for the NFL but every team will go through this.
The question of "how to stop johnny manziel?" has been asked since high school and nobody has come up with an answer. Florida didn't come up with an answer. That was a freshman taking his first snap in the biggest game of A&M's history against arguably the best defense in the nation. If that game is played next week, it would be a totally different ball game. LSU played Johnny the best this season in the 2nd half but Johnny was two missed field goals away from winning that game as well. Point is, even though he played bad against LSU, he still put us in position to win the game. There is no gameplan you can come up with to stop Manziel, but if he starts turning the ball over and making reckless plays then he can certainly stop himself and that is something he hasn't perfected yet.
