Where's that Godfather Lakers pic?
Sure, but a couple of differences. Spurs sleepwalked through the first 3 quarters of that game, whereas LAL appeared desperate to win. Also, the performance in the Rockets game was a deviation from the norm for the Spurs, but the Lakers have been exhibiting the same flaws (turnovers, no defense, missed FTs, etc) in game after game.
It was on the stream I have up. I'll see if I can find it. A reported asked a question about defense and D'antoni said, "You know what? You're really starting to piss me off because you're making stuff up that just isn't true."
D'Antoni says he's getting pissed off with a reporter who keeps asking about defence.
I'm not sure if he was joking, but when asked about whether they practice defence D'Antoni said ' yeah we practised half an hour'
en losers![]()
Watching nba tv. He said his teams performance was uninspiring. They asked him why they aren't playing well and he said he doesn't know.![]()
tbh, I bet you Nash will heal up real quick if he's ordered to take care of his kids![]()
ESPN comments are actually pretty funny after Laker losses, tbh...
I think this Kobe thing is getting a little out of control, i mean he ended with 42 points...kmon, 16/28 FG and 7/10 FT.
I know i HAVE to hate the Lakers...but kmon...he miss the last one but scored the one before that with an amazing fade away 3 point with a guy on his face.
This is what im looking at:
Howard with 9 FGA!!! and 22 FTA!!! That has to be a record. Sadly he only got 59FT%. Also got 20 rebounds.
Lakers cant trust Howard, and teams are taking advantage of that, at this point 20 rebounds doesnt matter.
I dont know what Nash can do to fix this, or even Magic Johnson!! whats the solution??
CJ Miles was averaging 7 PPG on 34% shooting, prior to this game..who was defending him, tbh?..
I guess they're waiting for Nash to lock down the perimeter..
Tbh, Kobe has been a top 5ish player this year..it will be short-lived, as he's running himself into the ground, but at the moment, he's having an elite season..
I don't care if Kobe shot 80% and scored 90 points. It's a team sport. You have to play defense and Kobe doesn't defend every shot so why should he take every shot? So many people seem to forget that basketball isn't just about shooting.
If a player like Kobe, overbearing and basically a pariah to his teammates doesn't share the ball, the other people on the team realize they are not trusted. They won't rotate, they won't communicate, they just go through the motions because they don't care
if the team wins or loses. They are no different than a Wizards or a Bobcat team that doesn't care to win. Once you get into that mode it's hard to climb out.
It is on Kobe. He's the leader of that team. He's a ty leader, needs Fish to lead again, but he's the leader and he wouldn't walk across the street to piss on his team if they were on fire. They know that.
Can't disagree with this.
Only caveat is he's been magnificently terrible on defense this year. Even under Brown. Everyone lights his ass up.
He's playing for himself. That's the problem. No ball movement no assist no team basketball.... That's Kobe and that's the main reason why they suck
Kobe Knows that this team is not going anywhere so he doesn't give a anymore he just wants to score his 30 points per game so he can look good
He's just realizing how awful a coach he is nomatter the talent..
this, tbh... he's been great if you're looking at only one end of the floor...
I knew a guy once who was a service engineer. He would intentionally take all the easy calls so he could pad his numbers. Those who didn't know better would say he was very productive, but those who knew him knew he was just a piece of who dumped responsibility on his coworkers. Kobe does the same thing. He takes the scoring credit but dodges the blame for the loss. They lost because the little things aren't being done on defense and on offense the team is a one trick pony. Sure Kobe gets numbers and on paper he looks great, but he's played long enough to know he's ting on his team. Those who don't know the game think Kobe is doing great, but those who know realize Kobe is ing the Lakers. A responsible team leader, even with Kobe's scoring ability, would force himself to play team ball win or lose. Kobe is about Kobe and has always been that way. Shaq and Pau carried him through his career.
Kobe is the biggest piece of to ever dribble a basketball. I am glad he's a Laker. They deserve each other.
Such a shocker!!!! lmao
To be fair, Nash is their best defender at a guard position.
Anyone who votes Kobe for an All-Defense team needs to be shot on sight.
Continuing the theme from the other thread, this is what coaches are there for... coach should know to call him out for his "roaming" D, but obviously Mike D doesn't have that kind of authority... and so it will keep happening..
Do you think Pop could call out Tim if Tim told him to shut the up? Could Spo tell Lebron what to do if Lebron told him to off? No. Players have to be coachable.
