I had tried to read the previous version of that same FAQ once. I ended up being so confused that I just closed my browser. The NBA Salary Cap (aka, "the Soft Cap") is just so damn confusing, unlike the NFL's Salary Cap (aka, "The Hard Cap").

But thanks for the Salary Cap FAQ link, anyway. Very much appreciated. Michael Finley gets mentioned in the amnesty clause section (that should've been called the "Michael Finley rule" and not the "Allan Houston rule", cuz Allan Houston did NOT get waived under that provision, though he did end up retiring anyway)! And I had no idea the Spurs got league approval for the Disabled Player Exception when Sean Elliot went under the knife for a kidney transplant.
