Are they going to partner with Amazon for an App Store or roll their own? If it's the latter, this only helps Apple...

    Only time will tell.

I suspect it will simply be a better OS.

There's more to it than 'just the OS'. There's the entire ecosystem of apps/games/movies stores, developers, etc... so far that's been the huge fail for microsoft, blackberry, etc...

I'll believe it when I see it. The most successful Hardware partner for Android suddenly jumping ship to start from scratch?

They also make windows phones don't they? Sounds to me blogger is misinterpreting them producing phones for another os entirely.

    this, this and this.
if true, this only leaves.. LG/HTC/MOTOROLA as the remaining big dogs to produce for android?

I have a feeling the new OS will run Android apps.

Tizen apps are either C or HTML5 based, not Java... so, no. That's the whole point: going away from Android.

I guess 110" is good if you only want 20 pixels per inch resolution...

    Wait...

    Just looked it up. It's a UHD resolution, not FHD. It's a 3840 x 2160 resolution, so it's 40 pixels per inch.
