Is Houston going to be active in the trade market as the deadline nears?
Chad Ford (1:17 PM)
Hearing yes in a major way. They like their backcourt and feel that they are set at the five. Upgrading the 4 looks like the biggest priority ... but could also look to upgrade at the 3 (though Chandler Parsons is having a good season). Rockets still have a number of young assets to offer.
Um, don't they already have like 6 PFs?
McHale should play Terrence Jones more tbh.
He looks lost on the court. Needs more time in the D-League. DMo is who the Rockets need to play more, but he looks lost too. His post moves are incredible tho.
They look lost because they dont play
D-Mo is a stud
Ross possibly is
Royce white could play PF at a high level too
For Love or Randolph they would have to trade Lin or Asik plus someone like Delfino... And those teams dont really need this players.
Houston shouldn't fool themselves into thinking they're a contender this season. They're the best team that has the cap space to offer a max deal this off-season. They should just wait and either sign someone or trade for a player then, when they can absorb almost any salary and just send back some cheap players and draft picks. Aldridge will probably be as available in July as he is right now.
they have half a team of PFs and are still looking to upgrade the 4?
We should just throw the season and play our 4 young SF/PF heavy minutes. One of them might just become an above average started.
Morris, Dmo, Patterson, Jones
Yep, why they should be trying so hard for this year post season success, while the league is still run by Miami & OKC, and SA + the Clips are still strong ? Be patient, with a good summer in FO work & one season + training camp in the players pocket, next season the Rox will be rocking a serious boat for championship.
we'll take Kevin Garnet
lol Rockets thinking they are a contender.
lol bandwagoners
The Rockets ain't winning anything this year. I agree, they should just play their young players some minutes and see who develops. At least that way we can showcase some talent. We can make a major offseason trade to upgrade the 4 spot.
They need to get a perimeter defender to play the three and move Parsons to the four. They don't need some awesome ball-dominating power-forward; they need someone to give the PnR space with good outside shooting and make the defenders pay for bad close-outs with good driving. Parsons does that and still has good potential on (especially help) defense. Just like Denver with Gallo, nothing good is going to come from trying to outsize the compe ion anymore.
Ride this year out, trade some bigs for perimeter depth and sign Tony Allen in the off-season.
Hmm...
Garnet = fake ruby
Garnett = fake tough guy
You might be on to something here!
Blair would be good on that team. He's a good cleanup guy, so he could stick around after the game and do what his ancestry is noted for doing.
The things people correct you for on the internet is amazing
With the way teams like Lakers an Mavs aren't making the playoffs, they have a good chance of at least making the playoffs. Who knoww what can happen from there. Look at the Mavs, they won 1.
