It was a pretty dirty play by Brady though...![]()
http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/ey...hats-bull-crapMy initial thought was that Brady simply wanted to ensure Reed didn't get a hard shot on him (you can see Reed coming in as if he's hunting right before Brady puts up his leg). But the Ravens probably think differently. Bernard Pollard definitely does, calling the slide "bull crap."
"You've got to keep them legs down," Pollard said, via CSN New England. "You've go to keep the legs down. We all know and understand what's going on there. And as a quarterback, when you go to slide, we're taught ... we can't do anything. When you come sliding, and your leg is up in the air trying to kick somebody, that's bull crap."
this guy is something else
It was more stupid than anything else. Brady is lucky nothing happened to his leg on the play.
Bernard Pollard has no room to talk but Brady was a little (per par) on that play. maybe he's trying to make up for this moment

Lmao at the gif. Then we got Brady hiding behind the referee. He's just a pussy that's fortunate to have a good o-line which would explain why he didn't run on 4th and 4. Must be that Patriot Way.
Honestly, I think it's instincts. Brady put that leg up there because it was either him or the other guy and his brain made a split second decision for him. It wasn't premeditated obviously.
QB's get hit sooooooooo many times for no reason, glad to see a little pay back...sorta.
Once saw a HS QB, put his head down and run right over a backer. The place went crazy, his team went bonkers, jazzed everyone up.
Belichick needs to stop putting a muzzle on his players when the other team is talking to the media. The Jets, Giants, and now Ravens all did it while the Patriots acted like gentlemen all week, and in all 3 games the Patriots looked like a group of gentlemen against a group of thugs. This team has absolutely no nastiness or swagger and it's because of Belichick. Even if it meant a few more penalties they need an intimidation factor which isn't there at all. Brady and Welker shouldn't need their in wives to stand up for them when they're getting trashed by the other team because Belichick forbids them from saying anything negative.
Just needed me out there, bro.
Yeah its really weird how everyone hates the Pats and is allowed to call them out in the media and everyone just goes with it. Then Welker gets punished for his little foot press conference.
It's that Patriots Way, a failed ideology. Get rid of it.
Had it been a cleat and not a turf shoe, it might have actually hurt Reed and caused Brady to receive more flak..
I'd say outdated is a much more accurate description than failed.
Being quiet and silent with the media is fine when you're a team that went largely unnoticed, maybe won a lot but didn't play sexy at all, aka the Patriots from 2001-2006. After a season where you go 16-0 and run up the score every week with unnecessary deep balls and then lose the superbowl after the team that won talked about you leading up to the game, you put a target on your back that being quiet with the media won't take away.
