Did I say I'd given up on him. Don't strawman. And I don't expect him to be mistake-free, just to cut out the glaringly dumb stuff we saw from him in the first 3 Qs tonight. Given his limitations, I wonder if he'll ever do that.
TP/Manu still make similar mistakes even though they've been in the league 10+ years. Green's not going to be LeBron on the fast break and he's not going to be a playmaker for this team. If Manu/Timmy have a big game, you're the first guy here slurpin' them to death. But when a role player puts up 28 on 8-14 from the 3 then he just hit some shots

Different kinds of fandom I guess. But if you read back through the thread, Green was called worthless, a waste, 'get him off the team' etc etc. To me that = the flailing of fans of lesser teams. No perspective. Then he goes off and that looks stupid. Why not have a memory and expect some stupid mistakes from Green each game. It's not like any of this is new. Why be surpised and outraged by things we should have come to expect by now? That is my annoyance.
Sure, but guys like ElNono and I said none of those things. We're capable of subtle and complex thought, unlike the hate brigade.

How would you rate Green's defense the last few games (including tonight)?

It's a testament to the Spurs' system when you lose the services of two of your best players over the course of the week and you still manage to reel off 11 straight wins. I mean, look at the Clippers without Chris Paul.

Because it isn't the kind of unforced mistakes every player has... this was that got Pop to yank him out of the game. He's has regressed really bad on defense too for a few games now. How many 3s he ends up nailing doesn't matter because he flat out doesn't post a career high every game.

It's not hate. I want Danny Green to succeed. And he's played better than this before. That's the bottom line.
didnt green also had a very high scoring game early in the season where he knocked down alot of shots, only to see him have like a week of games later where he couldnt hit anything...i, i dont think anything is going to change, next few games on the RRT will tell us whether his consistent enough or just another streaky player we cant afford to have

Great win. Although MIN have been sucking for sometime now. Makes that 7-2 prediction for the RRT pretty much on track.

Well done Danny Green on setting career highs! Please try harder to eliminate the stupid mental errors, and learn how to finish a fast-break. (Oh, and Green's shortcoming probably don't stand out so much when Manu is around to take over, which is a good thing).

Good job Splitter and BANE!!! for cancelling out Pek.

    And TP/Kawhi, keep on rollin!

    I'm out.

He led the team in steals tonight. I thought he was quite active on D. Spurs played so long ago I can't remember off the top of my head. Hasn't hurt us winning games, so couldn't have been that bad.

Subpar considering his ceiling on that end, but I'll let it slide since he's averaged 20 on 66% shooting from the 3 tbh.

well, I disagree. He routinely misses his rotations and he's late to close on his man... he's not costing us games as much as Neal isn't costing us games... we have Tim, Tony, etc that can win the game for us. But we can't afford to regress, especially the role players.
