They are currently 10th in the west. My prediction..... They don't make the playoffs placing 9th. If they make the 8th seed, they will exit out the first round.
Laker fan will try to spin this as an obsession by an opposing fan. Nothing farther from the truth. Im just as disappointed with the Lakers with the talent they have as any Laker fan, but I'm also delighted with it to be honest. It just proves money doesn't buy 'ships which is all the Lakers are about.... buying trophy's.
Do you think Lakers will still make the playoffs?

depends if they keep getting royally screwed by injuries. pau might be out for good if this turns out to be a tear or rupture. lets see how long it takes for dwight to get back, or if he aggravates it yet again. i feel if that happens again he's just going to shut it down. even if healthy, their ceiling is 7th. with the state of their injuries, my money says they miss the playoffs, though. to me, i sort of want them to make it and i want to play them round 1. nothing makes me happier than beating the lakers.
but i really want them to miss the playoffs to hurt kobe's legacy.
The fan in me believes they get the 8th seed. Lakers really got to win their next 2 road games, if they lose one of those then they will probably be out, it's already that far out in the season. They can lose @Miami though.

7th place, at worst 8th place - at least one of the barely 500 teams above will choke like they had Spreewell on their neck the whole time.
Lakers only 4 games out of the 7th seed. I can see them getting up to 7...
they will stay in 10th till kobe retires never any better than that
I'll say 9th, maybe 2 games out of the playoff picture. Portland and Houston were supposed to be dropping games but they're also picking it up.
lakers will make the playoffs for sure but i don't see how they could get through spurs or OKC so 1st round exit would most likely be their ceiling in the playoffs even if they make it there. rockets will miss out on the playoffs and finish 9th one more time imho, and mavs will also miss the playoffs for the 1st time in more than 10 years
i dont see them making it, how many games does the lakers have against the top teams in the league?
those teams could always tank against the weaker playoff fodder teams fighting for spots just to make the lakers miss
With 33 games left, the Lakers have to win 20. Not sure that will give them the 8th seed or not but would be close. With Howard and Pau out, I dont see them winning the 20 games. Nothing this season says they can turn it on like they have in the past. Talking about a window closing, Lakers window for Kobe may be shut after this season.
They'll make it, peeps. HOU and POR are too irregular. Same with the Mavs.
MIN and PHX are out, GS and MEM are a bit iregular, but they'll probably be over LAL anyway, as long as keep their rosters healthy.
A problem is that the LAC is one leg, and it's showing. So, yeah, my guess is that the the Lakers will get that playoff spot.
houston had a great game the other night which imho was not a good sign to those teams who still have the hope of making the playoffs. the rockets are the only team i see that may possibly give up their current top8 position tbh
