Again, considering where it was earlier, I think we are doing fine.
Good effort, tbh. This is going to be a tough game to pull out. The shorthandedness has caught up to the Spurs and now no one is really playing above their heads anymore. It's hard to win with so few weapons on either end.
But that second quarter was teetering on a blowout for the Nets. The Spurs have regained enough control to give them a shot to make a run in the third.

Danny Green needs to be taught the basic fundamentals of defensive basketball, like closing out on the shooter. KEEP YOUR FEET ON THE GROUND! You close out with quick steps and your hands up, not lunge at the shooter so they can just up fake and go right by you. You learn this in middle school.

Dunno why but that 3 brought up bad memories of KD hitting that 3 to turn an 18pt lead to 15 heading into halftime in Game 6.

I know it was just the situation of him getting the stupid defender in the air to drain a 3 he never should have had to gain momentum going into halftime.

Pop is such a tool. I remember how everyone wanted Tiago to play but Pop went with the turd towers. He said Tiago and Duncan couldn't play together. Now with TD hurt and the Spurs needing toughness he chooses to go back to the turd towers and gives Baynes the Tiago treatment.

I have to say, whoever said that there is no reason for Splitter to expand his game (i.e. adding a jump shot), must be smoking crack.
Why, with all the depth the Spurs have, does Neal get so much opportunity? I mean, anyone else would seemingly ride the pine for a while, but he keeps getting first crack. I'm not saying completely bench him, but Patty should be getting first look at this point until Gary finds his game.
