i'm reading that his body was too burned up to run DNA tests.
but, his drivers license was found inside the cabin and that's how the verified it was him?

bottom line they didn't want him alive...after OJ they didn't want a jury in LA county possibly not giving him the death penalty because they know that most people see them as corrupt....so they decided to trail by cop and they basically burned him alive...
He ed up though...just like Jason Bourne he should have kept moving and took the fight to the woods under the cloak of darkness...his mistake was not knowing that he had killed or seriously wounded those 2 cops...instead of getting his gear and heading for the woods he thought he would make his last stand as a sitting duck and shoot it out...instead they burned him alive...he possibly could have gotten away or at least mad the manhunt more difficult but who know maybe the was just too got dam cold and didn't want to with them woods...but he certainly left a blueprint for others...and trust me all the killers and cop haters where fixated on his strategy...in the end he got what he deserved but I don't feel sorry for the cops not one iota

i also think they pulled him out of the house and beat his ass like you said, then kept him alive long enough for the chief of police to put 2 to his dome.
