lol, some seats are horrible in the AT&T center which would explain why the starting price is so cheap. What you show proves nothing, of course nosebleeders are cheap for an team except for BIG games

So that means the Pelicans & most others are doing much better than the Spurs
Too bad, many Spurs fans don't live in SA... maybe some day

It is a schtick if you keep making threads about the same thing.

If you feel happy that the Pelicans have higher ticket prices, good for you son.
    nonsense.

I haven't made a thread about ticket prices since the playoffs last year. it is news and certainly shocking to see, but no one wants to talk about it because its the Spurs. everyone loves to rag on the Heat for using white towels to cover up their empty seats during the playoffs, but turn the other cheek to the Spurs pathetic fan support. if the Lakers fan support was this bad then it would be front page news every day on this board. is it also schtick when the same 3 dozen posters make multiple Kobe threads on here as well?

    you are confused my friend.

ok son I'll play your game. lets take away the front runner game from each (OKC for Spurs, MIA for Pelicans)

Average starting ticket price for those 8 games ...

    New Orleans Pelicans (21-39) - $3.00

    San Antonio Spurs (46-14) - 2.52

is that something you really want to brag about? the Pelicans are a lottery team and the Spurs have the best record in the NBA. plus our front runner game tickets with the Heat start at $80. the Spurs front runner game tickets with the Thunder start at $17. this isn't about the Pelicans vs the Spurs, but I'll expose the facts when you ask for them. The Spurs have the lowest demand for tickets out of any of the legit playoff teams in the NBA.
Cheaper beer too, but hey I ain't complaining.

thank you for being the first Spur fan to understand this post. everything has to be ATTACK, ATTACK, ATTACK! instead of talking about the issue at hand. why do you think the demand for Spurs tickets is so low in San Antonio? this clearly isn't anything new as they were struggling to fill the arena last year during the playoffs as well. they always seem to get most of the arena filled, but having to give away blocks of tickets like this is pretty unusual for successful teams in the NBA.

I mean, their strategy of lower ticket prices seems to be working since they have the 11th best attendance in the league despite being small-market.

If only all teams could be so generous to their fans.

and like I said its clear that the Spurs organization and big business in the San Antonio area are buying out blocks of tickets and basically giving them away. its good for the cheapskate/casual fan, but it shows the lack of demand for Spurs tickets. no other playoff contending team, much less with the best record in the NBA have as cheap of tickets like the Spurs ALWAYS do.

a family of four could attend a Spurs game for cheaper than you could get a soda at the concession stand in any NBA arena.

yea I mean its unbelievable really. I feel for the season ticket holders who got screwed into paying those prices whenever they could get them insanely cheaper just buying game by game.

it looks like all of the .39 cent tickets are sold out for tonight though. the cheapest tickets went up to .50 cents for tonight's game. there are also still thousands of quality tickets still available including tons of them in the upper level center of the court starting at $1.00 with most falling around the $1.00-$5.00 range. the lower level tickets are starting around $18.

Beats me, tbh. I would expect NOs price tix to be right there with SA if not lower, especially since Louisiana is much bigger on the Saints and Tigers.

Man, I usually respect your truthful aspects when it comes to things that matters, you know, skill level and points taken from the games but caring about ticket prices? More importantly, another team's ticket prices? Come on bro, you're talking about another team having affordable cheap tickets? Yes, we all want to be unable to see our teams play because the ticket prices are too expensive, yeah

Obviously ticket prices directly effect the success of a team. Hi LA LA land! And some how they still continue to be a model franchise, teams try to emulate, not just in the NBA, but other sports as well. Maybe they're on to something here? Ever think of that?

The Spurs are a small market team playing in a state with 2 other NBA teams... so obviously their fan base will be a lot smaller (hence the lower ticket prices) . Its not like the -hole state the pelicants play in where the only time those fans get to see NBA action is when the other team comes to town.

The hollywood people pay way more than the texans farmers. That's why the L.A. mexicans can afford more expensive tickets than the San Antônio ones.

again the same ole nonsense and at ude of ATTACK! ATTACK! ATTACK!!! if you don't like the truth.

I could careless about the ticket prices, but it is newsworthy that the team with the best record in the NBA has such a low demand for tickets.

The AT&T center isn't in a particularly great part of town either.

Beyond the Spurs games, there's literally no reason to be over there unless you live in the section 8 housing down the road. There are only so many people willing to go to a basketball game for the basketball. A lot of people looking for other attractions close by as much as the game itself might find arenas in other cities more attractive due to proximity to such things.

The spurs are a good team, though. They sell out their playoff games (when ticket prices are much more expensive) and important reg. season games.

Son, I'm not attacking you, I'm just saying this is not really that big a deal but obviously it is to you so my apologies since it looks like I hurt your feelings and you took my reply as an attack. Go on, care about the ticket prices, I'll worry about other things like winning games. I'll buy a nice row of cheap seats in the process when I'm done in San Antonio come April and thank you in the process for giving me the heads up

san antonio isn't as much of a basketball city even as the big D imho, and san antonio doesn't have any other major league sports team like cowboys or texans tbh. san antonians would rather save the $ for a piece of fat taco imho
