With 20+mil in capspace and 5 picks in the first 3 rounds, I'm sure that'll be addressed.

Damn, they STILL have $20 Million left? I guess they aren't 'phinished yet.

And I wouldn't trust them to draft corners. They just got rid to two top picks.

Danny Amendola who's fully capable of replacing Welker as long as he stays healthy, but his inability to stay healthy is why I wouldn't count on it. If they sign Amendola and add an outside threat so they don't need to get huge production out of the slot receiver position, their offense will be better next year.
pats with a deep threat would be scary as fuk

Good call on Wes being worth $7,000,000 a year seeing that there wasn't a team in the NFL willing to pay that much

Report: Tom Brady “enraged” Patriots let Wes Welker go

Tom Brady is apparently not a happy camper about losing his favorite wide receiver

Tom E. Curran of CSNNE.com spoke to a source close to Brady who described Brady as “enraged.” The words “disgrace” and “disservice” were also used to describe the way Brady (who apparently was under the impression that he had helped the Patriots save enough cap space to keep Welker) felt about learning that the Patriots wouldn’t even offer Welker enough money to keep him from signing a two-year, $12 million contract with the Broncos.

Brady has himself to blame for Welker leaving. Belichick knew the only way to address Brady's habit of forcing the ball to Welker was to get rid of Welker. He also has himself to blame for thinking that taking a pay cut would ensure he'd get to keep the receiver he likes. The last time he took a contract below market value the team traded Branch shortly afterwards because they didn't wanna give into his demands. It should be obvious that Belichick doesn't give a about appeasing Brady just because he took a pay cut.

The Texans' first visit will be with S Ed Reed. He'll be at their facility on Thursday. They need a vet to replace Glover Quin.

Free agency isn't nearly over and there aren't very many players flying off the board, I'll be right there with you if they enter training camp with 10M+ in cap space and major holes in the secondary/at receiver, but that hasn't happened yet.

I imagine the Texans are going to throw too much money at him for Ozzie's comfort. All in all, he's not a bad fit. He's great at helping young players along. I'd be happy for Ed if he goes there. Close to his home and in a situation where he doesn't have to do it all.

I'd rather him go there than New England, for sure.

Report: Tom Brady “enraged” Patriots let Wes Welker go
    Curran followed up with:

"The source close to Brady was "enraged." I do not know Brady's state of mind. Sorry for the confusion."

"The enraged party in my previous tweet was someone close to Brady. Not Brady himself. Got no idea how he feels. But I bet I could guess."

We'll see how "enraged" Brady is next season when Bill uses this money on a defense that can actually stop somebody.

Cardinals now have 16 million invested in Kolb, Hoyer, and Stanton. My guess is Kolb and his 11 mill get cut.

No idea aside from CAP savings why they cut Rhodes.

Whatever. Tank for Clowney or Bridgewater!!!
