Tbh I'd be excited to get Ed Reed too. I just think you're getting a little carried away. Schaub is still going to have to make some big plays in the playoffs if you guys are going to do anything. Doesn't really change much imho
Did I say he'd make him play better? Read it again. I said he wouldn't hesistate to call him out if he plays ty.

I know it doesn't change anything for Schaub, which is why I hope they draft a mobile QB sometime in the draft. What I do hope is that they continue to add to the defense and make it better than last year, and find a game changer on offense. Schaub is going to have to nut up come playoffs, but in order for him to do that the head coach and owner can't keep protecting him like they are. Kubiak mainly needs to grow some balls and lay criticism when he needs to. Whether that be in the locker room or press conference. A game changing playmaker on offense would help, if they could find one in the draft.
Matt Schaub's lack of mobility isn't the problem, his lack of clutchness/ability to do anything in the 4th quarter is the problem.
Saying the Denver front office with Elway is "god awful" is too much.
After wasting a first round pick on Tebow, Elway came in and cleaned it up nicely by stealing a draft pick from the Jets for him and bringing in Manning.
Getting Welker for a good price was a nice coup a well.
Not the best front office to be sure, but definitely not God awful.
It's not even that... Schaub's a stiff game manager in all four quarters, every game, and he's being coached by an overconservative pussy who encourages it.....
I know it's not his problem specifically, just it'd be nice to have one in this offense. His lack of clutchness is definitely a problem, like when he craters and takes a sack when there is plenty of time in the pocket, or he throws it away when there's plenty of time in the pocket, then goes on the radio and says "The team has to play better".
This too.
This happened yesterday but New England re-signed Vollmer. Hopefully he stays healthy again this year but chances are they got him for a good price since the market for him was so soft.
IMO, the Ravens definitely upgraded by basically going from Kruger to Dumervil when Kruger would have costed more money. People are also forgetting they get Lardarius Webb back next year w/ Haloti Ngata and Terrell Suggs at 100% compared to last season when they were playing w/ injuries. Their two big losses are Boldin and Reed imo. There are plenty of good ILBs left on the market to replace Ellerby and Lewis, while it's not hard to replace a safety who doesn't cover. If Boldin and Reed are replaced well enough they'll still be an AFC contender next year.
Is "costed" even a word? Sounds like something a black dude mangling English would say
Guess it is...kind of http://www.englishforums.com/English...gbqdl/post.htm
Yes.
failed grammar smack
Truth bomb.
I never heard it before. If you look at that link its sounds weird and incorrect to a lot of people.
Skins meeting with Winfield on Wednesday. Really hope we get him, he's old but still very productive and if anything is a stop gap until we get our 18 million back next free agency. Anything is better than deangelo too.
Hope we can somehow get Fred Davis back too but I think he goes to the bills. Great playmaker even tho he is a dumbass.
Colts bringing in Darrius Heyward-Bey for a visit. Hope we sign him, definite upgrade over Donnie Avery who went to the Chiefs.
Colts will be good next year if they improve that line. Have they done that yet or are they going to the draft?
Wasn't luck like the most pressured qb last year?
They added RT Gosder Cherilus who only missed like 4 games in his career with the Lions. Winston Justice was good for us last year but he couldn't stay healthy. I like that the new Colts front office is not wasting time on players that keep ending up on IR, the last front office was way too loyal to guys like that (Bob Sanders probably rings the loudest bell).
Also added G Donald Thomas who was a backup with the Patriots but DoK told me dude was pretty good when he got to play. I still think they need to draft another lineman though, maybe another guard or possibly a center to train up until Samson Satele's deal expires. 2013 Colts are definitely trying to follow the 2001 Patriots model, win a Super Bowl with a deep FA class.
Luck was sacked like 41 times last year and who knows how many sacks he should have taken, he got out of quite a few.
What`s the deal with Palmer? He is owed 13 mln this year. What excatly means to restructure a contract ? Add money and years to lower cap hit, or only add years ?
17 milion for 4 years base salary for vollmer![]()
Baltimore should still be in the playoff mix barring injuries. The Flacco cap hit won't bother them until 2016 or 2017.
If the Ravens have a good draft, they should be better than they were last season. They have 12 picks, but only about six or seven open spots. I could see them trading up and getting some impact players to go along with a solid free-agency run. It's not very often a team improves their run defense and pass-rushing by spending only $5 Million.
Texans bringing in FB Greg Jones for a visit. Would be a solid signing.
DHB leaves Indy without deal, onto Detroit. We should have signed him. May not be too late but we need WR far more than the Lions do. If Grandpa Wayne gets injured, it's gonna be 2011 all over again.
