You should be. They can beat you. Utah can't. We can't. They can.
I concur, in that Dallas is the most worrisome of the 3 teams. Still, we've had their number this year, and they frankly haven't been the same sans Chandler

Exactly. But, in a vacuum they're the clear favorite. It would apply an alarm across the Spurs locker-room. At least an attention bell. Carlisle would be the key component along with Nowitski with Mayo and Marion the unknown elements.

I could plot my trough with them.

I'm startin' early. The only thing I have to hang my hat on is 5-4. If I lose that I'm lost.

& I don't trust Miami any further that I can throw 'em.

Attention bell for sure. Of the 3 teams battling for the 8 spot, the Mavs are the only ones playing playoff basketball. Slowing the game down, and feeding the Nazi, who is just on a tear right now. My preference would obviously be Utah, then LA, then Dallas.

Dirk is always scary, but his supporting cast is really ty, tbh..

Carter has been a good 6th man, but Mavs rely on him to be a top 2/3 player, which shouldn't be the case at his age..

Mayo is an ideal 6th man and #4/5 option on a top team, but he's usually the #2 guy with the Mavs..

They have good role players in Marion, Collison, Wright and Brand, though..

If they are even going to make the playoffs, it'll take a colossal effort from Nowitzki down the stretch..

Don't UTA have the tiebreaker against both LAL and DAL? Plus Lakers and Mavs play each other soon so one team must take a loss there. C'mon UTA - don't mess this up - all you have to do is win/lose as much as both teams.

For the Mavs to make the playoffs, Dirk has to play like this the rest of the season. That's the only way they win. He has to be the number 1 option and main man. There can't be any of this "let's have OJ Mayo take a shot in the last minute" bull (okay, I know he came up huge against the Clippers the other night but he s the bed a lot in the final minute of the 4th qtr).

Why the was this game on at 1pm? The Mavs rarely play home games on Saturdays at 1pm.

like i said the other night, the mavs have been ascending and w/o biased officiating, they should be more likely to win the 8th seed rather than the lakers. it'll still depend on how much help the lakers are gonna receive from the refs though, i believe there will come a point where stern has to give up on the lakers and lets the game decide itself, until then he's gonna give every aid possible to them lakers and continue to rig games in lakers' favor

Lakers got 2 W's in Dallas the season, one was a monumental curbstomp where the mavs (without Dirk iirc) never had a chance, the 2nd game Kobe shot dagger after dagger to put dem mavs to sleep.

Don't know where all that talk is coming from but the season is on the line for both teams, should be a good one.

I want the Mavs to win on Tuesday against the Lakers but the game is in Los Angeles and the Mavs have historically sucked ass playing the Lakers especially in Los Angeles. Wins in LA are rare for the Mavs in the regular season.
