Can't blame a player taking advantage of stupid people tbh. Good for him.
Agreed, tbh. Same with Hagee and all the other mega-Church ministers. You get to take 10% of their income while promising them something (heaven) that doesn't exist. It's the most brilliant ponzi scheme of all time

I guess that is one way of looking at it, but beliefs aren't so easy to understand...unlike the tooth fairy or Santa Clause...religion can lead to great things like people turning themselves around or even whole societies believing that they can succeed because they have the grace of God... , all of America thinks that way...

it's the same way people convince themselves Jesus is definitely coming back to earth for the rapture before their death, because they "would like to think" Jesus wouldn't pass on the opportunity to meet someone as cool as they are

That worked really well in 2000 and 2004 when America made George Bush a two term president because he has god behind him.

The burden rests on you to prove it does exist, not the other way around.

And that's why they have to use some really inspiring cliche word like "faith" to justify believing in something for no logical reason whatsoever.

How did that "faith" work out for America when it voted for Bush in 2000 and 2004? Inquiring minds want to know since you decided to use America as an example of religion doing good things.

Philosopher Paul Chamberlain says it is logically erroneous to assert that positive truth claims bear a burden of proof while negative truth claims do not.[11] He says that all truth claims bear a burden of proof, and that like Mother Goose and the tooth fairy, the teapot bears the greater burden not because of its negativity, but because of its triviality, arguing that "When we subs ute normal, serious characters such as Plato, Nero, Winston Churchill, or George Washington in place of these fictional characters, it becomes clear that anyone denying the existence of these figures has a burden of proof equal to, or in some cases greater than, the person claiming they do exist."

..Because religion has been misused for all of its existence...it doesn't make it inherently bad

So you're admitting it had catastrophic effects enabling someone who should have never been near the white house to become president, glad we agree there.

lol qualifying how religion is "used" and "misused"
lol but it inspires stupid pathetic people who need a reason to live

..it's proven wrong by its very trivialness.....Christianity, as well as other religions aren't so trivial....
