Donte Greene is available. I recall the spurs expressed interest in the past. Slim picking but did go with Childress
Cheaters justice.

Who the knows what happened. The Spurs and Pop wouldn't cut somebody over a simple disagreement. Just stop coming to your own conclusions.
This. What about that French SF?
I would be shocked if Jax would ever find a new job in the NBA..
Yeah honestly I agree. Jax clearly started the end of last season with a great rapport coming in. He had to have ed up royally to be waived. I'm willing to give the Spurs the benefit of the doubt as well.
They're better than playing Bonner and Blair.
I meant Bill.
Two other possible candidates are Evans and Richardson. Out of all the names, Evans is probably the best combination of 3 and D, but he's severely undersized.
Blair complains all the time about playing time why was he never waived![]()
So he jus didnt like his role on the team??
A key to sign a player that late in the season would be a familiarity with Spurs system. There is an available player who knows it quite well:
Michael Finley
Gelabale? Who is under contract with Minnesota?
Good news, tbh, addition by subtraction, since Pop would have allocated him PT..
Stephen Jackson is ing horrible, as I've been saying all year..he has always been overrated, but this year's version of Jackson was one of the worst players I've ever seen on any level of basketball..
This doesn't change anything for the Spurs..his only potential use was another defender to throw at Lebron and Durant, but he wouldn't have made a notable difference, obviously..the Spurs bench will continue to struggle without Ginobili and Diaw, but Jackson wouldn't have helped..
Playing Green or Ginobili at SF is not ideal, especially defensively, but it's better than Jackson getting any minutes..having shooters on the perimeter is more dangerous than having a negative player like Stephen Jackson, tbh..
The Spurs will sign a wing player, but I doubt he will see any PT in the playoffs..
This also essentially guarantees that Kawhi is going to play 40+ in the playoffs, which is great news..
I agree with DPG that symbolically, this is troubling, since a team in a tailspin waiving a rotation player a few days before the season is a bad sign..from a basketball perspective, it's good news, tbh..
Maybe Jax was the one that broke into Pop's home.
:exits thread:
tiest ing news in a long time. There's no one worth a we can sign.
Maybe he could get a year or two for the absolute minimum if he managed to impress in practice. He'd have to re-acquire some semblance of an offensive game, though.
Spurs aren't signing anybody at this point in the season that's contributing in the playoffs. This means that Green/Manu/Neal are going to have to man the backup SF position.
If anything, this guarantees that Kawhi is playing 40+ mins a game in the playoff which can only be a good thing.
But this is where Diaw being out hurts us very badly. Jack would have been an adequate 4 in Boris' absence. Now the Spurs are extremely thin up front.
WOW, what the is happening we dont need all this bull days before the playoffs. We need to pick up someone. we should have ing picked up Kmart he is playing so good right now. As of right now we have no playmakers or toughness.
Holy .
Whoever we sign we'll have to send to the D League and bury them on the bench... afterall, they don't know the system.
