I'm still rooting like for Milwaukee/Sacramento to beat OKC.

Spurs winning on Sunday should mean Utah gets in and that may be the path of least resistance.
For who? OKC? We are playing Houston probably.

Great F'n News tbh. Any Spurfan who thinks otherwise is lying to OKCthemselves.
Not really. Makes a whole lot easier for OKC

OKC was runnin' roughshod on LA with or without Kobe. If Bryant really is out, then OKC doesn't have the luxury of a Laker choking away a 3-1 series lead tbh.

How long did he expect he could play those crazy minutes? And how stupid is his coach playing his best player to the ground to avoid what could be one of the most embarassing Lakers season.

Sucks for Kobe, I hate him but that's not right that he gets injured, really sucks. Looking forward to possibly playing them at "full strength"... On the bright side, David Stern is out there with A gun to his head

This is an overuse case in my opinion. When forced, the body will react sometimes violently. When he slightly hyper-extended his left knee, it changes his gait(the way he normally looks while walking or running). You can tell he was labored. 17 Seasons in, you have to ALLOW a rest. No one is superhuman.

The last prominent LA Athlete to go down with a completely ruptured tendon was David Beckham. His story offers a unique perspective of why an achilles can go and how to treat the rupture.

His surgeon is one of the world's best and he had Beckham back and playing in 4 months.

This 2nd link shows what a complete tear looks like. It ain't pretty. You've been warned.
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...lles-heel.html
He believes he sustained the injury because he's been pushing his body too hard saying 'it could happen to anyone'.

Beckham said he was excited about the World Cup and would be attending as a spectator and supporter
'I think I'd been running too much in the game and I was tired, there was a minute left and it just went,' he said.

Sucks. Hate to see anyone go down like that.

But I'll believe it when I see the official word.

I wonder if this is more of Kobe's injury drama. A ploy so that he can try looking like the hero by running out of the tunnel on Sunday and trying to force himself into the Fakers starting lineup, to save the day - again?

I know that the Lakers are trying to hang on to that 8 spot, but it looks like all the pressure is only on Kobe to keep it. almost as if they cant win a game without Kobe. bad situation the lakers are in. they have no other go to guys on that team

Kobe is pretty old to be able to come back from this. It's probably not a career-ender but Kobe probably won't be Kobe anymore.

Don't tell him that. Kobe will use this unfortunate episode to fuel a fierce comeback, just to prove pundits and fans wrong. Of course, he'll do so at the detriment of the Fakers future. Given the fact that his contract is up after next season, it will be very interesting to see how all this plays out for both him and the Fakers organization. Time for Jodie Meeks to man up.

Amnesty? Hmmm...Larry Coon, a Cap expert who explains the cap to the 4-letter and a mod at that lg joint, said the LAL would think about using it on Gasol. Perhaps it's best used on Bean.

Lakers brought it upon themselves by stacking up too much they angered the basketball gods.

    but what about Miami?

Dallas tearing them down in 2011 was probably enough.
