damn this is horrible. i don't like the lakers but i do like kobe. i hope he is able to come back from this...wow

he just posted this on facebook:

This is such BS! All the training and sacrifice just flew out the window with one step that I’ve done millions of times! The frustration is unbearable. The anger is rage. Why the did this happen ?!? Makes no damn sense. Now I’m supposed to come back from this and be the same player Or better at 35?!? How in the world am I supposed to do that??
I have NO CLUE. Do I have the consistent will to overcome this thing? Maybe I should break out the rocking chair and reminisce on the career that
was. Maybe this is how my book ends.

Maybe Father Time has defeated me…Then again maybe not! It’s 3:30am, my foot feels like dead weight, my head is spinning from the pain meds and I’m wide awake. Forgive my Venting but what’s the purpose of social media if I won’t bring it to you Real No Image?? Feels good to vent, let it out. To feel as if THIS is the WORST thing EVER! Because After ALL the venting, a real perspective sets in. There are far greater issues/challenges in the world then a torn achilles. Stop feeling sorry for yourself, find the silver lining and get to work with the same belief, same drive and same conviction as ever.
One day, the beginning of a new career journey will commence. Today is NOT that day.

“If you see me in a fight with a bear, prey for the bear”. Ive always loved that quote. Thats “mamba mentality” we don’t quit, we don’t cower, we don’t run. We endure and conquer.
I know it’s a long post but I’m Facebook Venting LOL. Maybe now I can actually get some sleep and be excited for surgery tomorrow. First step of a new challenge.
Guess I will be Coach Vino the rest of this season. I have faith in my teammates. They will come thru.

Thank you for all your prayers and support. Much Love Always.
    Mamba Out

Im sure Kobe feels exactly the same as George Karl on chemotherapy.

Such a tough life... I weep.

I admire him for his tenacity, but that's about it. I will never forget Kobe spouting off about Tim being a complainer about his knees. This was of course BEFORE Kobe got a knee injury and had surgery. Kobe always has the worst of all injuries. When will the diva post the first MRI's... I can't wait.

him. He's a self-centered piece of who quits on his team forces himself on women. And most Laker fans are gots. This is common knowledge.
I didn't disagree with Hating on Kobe, He's a . But saying " got" is kind of where we disagree. If you said Lakers fans are assholes then of course you would be right. They even know that they are assholes too.

    He said it.

i remember big arguments about it on the ESPN Spurs board with Laker trolls. Kobe said everyone has sore knees in reference to Duncan's swelling. I read it and stated that larger men take more pounding.

so yes the he said it, Walter...

If he really did tear that, he's not going to be back for the playoffs. And if he does, his quickness and speed will be hugely effected. Again, that is, it this isn't another wildly overdramatized fake Kobe injury. Lakers won't put up much of a fight without Kobe if this is true.

Spurs had just as many injuries as far as games missed with key players as LA and they are a 2nd seed. It's disgusting how people are using this injury to point to why LA didn't make the playoffs and even when Kobe gets injured, his legacy gets bubblewraped.

So does Kobe show up like Willis Reed on Sunday? Or does he play the fallen hero like Achilles?

I have a hard time getting some sympathy for Bryant. He has just played too much the card "I'm seriously injured" while he wasn't. Now that he is really seriously injured, he can't put his usual "I'm a warrior" or "mind over body" BS. There is some kind of Karma behind that injury for Bryant to have faked injuries and for D'Antoni to have played him 45 mpg.

And of top of that, Bryant isn't a likable man on and off the court.
Bruno with the goods per par.

I just don't feel much sympathy for Kobe. I can't think of another player in sports that I despise more. It's because of what he represents, I find both his game and his character revolting. The guy is very close to being a sociopath, and I don't use that word lightly. The fact LA would make him the face of their franchise says everything about their organization and fanbase.

Now.......had he injured himself in a practice, I honestly would feel bad for him. That would've been very anticlimactic for both him, his fans and his haters. But the fact this happened on a classic Lakers FT contest game, where he's clearly benefiting from Stern's deceit, it seemed somewhat like justice to me.

I don't wish any players get injured, even KB. But for that play, I'm still annoyed by the ref call simply because KB fell to the ground. They just assume that if anything happens with the favorite boys, it must be defenders fouling them.

Based on the timing of all this, I wonder if Kobe will rush his recovery and rehab to selfishly try and get back in time to finish next season (his last under contract) and then force the Fakers into re-upping him for a couple more years, at premium dollars, so that he can go out on his own terms?

I love how people talk about Kobe's "will" to get them to the playoffs while ignoring the massive meltdown that led them to that point in the first place. Losing, terrible leadership and underachieving are not to be lauded. I guess Pau's triple double in their win was Kobe's will

Was D-Fish hit by a car last night too? I'd have organized the victory parade myself tbh.

I don't think we are that lucky. besides, D Fish has already soiled his reputation by getting out of contracts thanks to his daughter. dude is a bigger than Kobe in many ways.
