exactly what we needed.
we are desperate and it was time for desperate deeds.
love the upside, not worried at all about any downside. this is the first spurs news to put a smile on my face since the infamous phx game
He lost in the first round a couple of times where he had the better team and home court advantage with the Rockets.
T-Mac was always supposed to be a 2nd banana but was overpaid by everybody.
Unlike Bonner, Tmac isn't afraid to take shots when the ball is swung to him.
This signing is all upside potential, no downside.
I hope you are correct. I expect little though.
Your a ing imbecile.
Tmac is gonna bust his ass with this chance tbh. He has never really gone far with a team in the playoffs, so now is his chance to help see how far we can get. Can't wait to see him on the court.![]()
I believe the same was said of Glenn Robinson...
To all the people complaining about TMac never making it out of the first round...Have you seen some of the teams he played on?
The 02/03 Magic had 2 other players with a PER above 15(League Average).
Grant Hill, who played 29 games(29mpg)
Drew Gooden, 19 games after a midseason trade.
That's it. Getting that team to the playoffs is a miracle.
For us, it's a sensible signing even though it's unlikely TMac plays much. As a 13th man, I'd rather have a second SF on the bench than a 5th PG, and his passing ability is a good fit for our offense.
He'll get as much playing time as i will..
Tbh we should just start him. He'll be one of our top 2 or 3 scorers and will provide a great scoring threat. I bet he's our best player in the playoffs outside of Timmy. He could be the missing link to a championship run.
TMac would so dominate Kobe right now.
yah he will! Khawi who?? Fuggetabou !
Chumpy's going to earmark another batch of his finest truffles in your honor good sir!
s bells he would! He'd crossover those crutches and make a layup every time!
, I'd dominate Kobe ... and I suck.
It helps whenever Kobe is on crutches, but those are small details...
T-Magic's shoulder veins have always perplexed me. They look liked ropes.
Pretty much zero risk and huge potential upside. Smart move, tbh.
GO SPURS GO!!!!!
Good move, no brainer.
He's a clutch player and I believe that he will give his all to get a new contract next year.
It seems that a lot of people or non-Spurs fan are happy about T-Mac returning to the NBA to the point that they want to cheer the Spurs or joining the bandwagon because of T-Mac. Never felt this one before about people are now talking about the Spurs somehow. Hopefully this move will boost the Spurs overall.
Man, I've been out all day and just found out about this move about 30 minutes ago. Great zero risk move with an invaluable potential reward. I see some people think he won't get much playing time but that's missing the point. Any minute he can provide will be good for the whole team, especially Kawhi and he'll at least have a wealth of knowledge to pass through to him and DG. He'll be good for morale after Jack leaving, too. And if we face the Rockets in the 1st round, at least we know he's comfortable playing in Houston. Most of all, if and when we get in an offensive funk, we know he can hit shots from downtown and get in a groove. He's not a savior by any means at this stage in his career but we obviously won't be asking him to be one. He will be a positive presence and the guy has a good basketball IQ. This is the best news we've had in a while, tbh. Good stuff.
Spurs just need to get out of round one and get healthy and they can advance. Their hot win streak did nothing for them last year, so I am not going to make too much about their current situation right now...I would rather they play desperate tbh.
Tmac offers a stop gap until they get some bodies back on the floor, and as mentioned here, he hasn't lost his vision, or the willingness to take a big shot if needed.
Bright side: Timmy is a beast right now. When was the last year that Timmy was playing at this level?
We just need Tiago to remember how to play again, and TP to get some rythm and the Spurs will be alright. Cow-Eye is going to be special in the playoffs...I truly believe that.
The Spurs are still the 2nd seed in the West... , Miami didn't peak until they got by Indiana last year.
Now I'm kinda wishing Pop and RC call McDyess tomorrow so Bonner or Blair get no minutes in the playoffs, lol. Of course, that's not gonna happen but a man can wish.
Tim Legler sounds like he's picking the Lakers over the Spurs in the first round.
