That would put us at 1/4 the way to the end. Nothing more. Hence, I will not partake of the "food" or "water" of victory. I'll remain celibate until we have garnered the full bounty of 16. At that time I will then blast forth a celebration that will rock this hamlet and the old lady's right cheek bone.
    I like your style Cully.

Didn't Parker torched Nash this season? Blake is hot right now. I much rather have an old, rusty Nash out there to be honest.
I'm just having fun with Cully. I wanted to see him indict Nash.

Rushing Nash back right now is a big, big mistake. The Lakers have something of an iden y with Blake Mamba running the show, winning two straight games. Not to mention, their defense has improved, as well as their half-court offense with Gasol at the point forward.

Game 1 isn't a must win for the Lakers. If I was D'Antoni, I'd ride this mini-run and see what this unit can do. If they get destroyed, then you rush Nash back, since at that point, the Lakers would be in a nothing-to-lose-situation.

But inserting a rusty, gimped Nash into a team that seems to have gelled and developed some chemistry could prove costly.

    Not in his vocabulary tbh.

Gotta be honest Mid has always been a level headed guy but he is acting paranoid as ever since the Lakers got in a position to be in the POs.

I do hope he's just trolling.
He's not. He sent me a PM asking me for the a referral to my mental health physician.

Frankly I don't understand why he's been backpedaling after calling out the Lakers for being flawed.

He's s shocked. My 5-4 protocol has worn him down to a rough nub. In fact, he is a nub. But, he's our nub. And we love him.

    I'm with you on that.

Lakerfans are probably expecting me to go ape with the trash talking on this board if the Spurs beat the Lakers. But you don't get rings for 1st round wins. In addition to that, Lakers being sans Bryant will unsweeten the victory even more.

You learn well, grasshopper. Here, pick up this large stewing pot that Katie-girl has been boiling out my overalls in. Carry it out into the yard by your forearms. If you can do that without breaking the rice paper you may have 30 seconds in the Ellis girl's underwear.....................drawers.

Honestly, it's more about us than them.

The Spurs have being playing 7th/8th seed level basketball since Kawhi's game winner against the Cavs. I would be similarly unconfident against Houston or GS. Difference is, losing to those teams wouldn't be near as bad as losing to our greatest rival and the franchise most of us here hate with a passion.

And in a season that has gone so perfectly for Lakers haters, I want zero chance of Lakers fans having the last laugh.

Now there's a "chance," thus my angst.

    Fat Gasol the DPOY
    2 rebs in 40 minutes
He's also apparently started flailing around and screaming on every possession just like his brother, plus he whines to the refs even more than Blake does.... I actually didn't mind Marc Gasol before, but I'm starting to be annoyed by him, tbh....

You're talking about nurture now that the innate will be no longer present. The fact that Bryant is guaranteed gone this post season is a big deal. If there was an inkling that he could return the battle field would be status quo. It's an unknown now. Gasol, Howard, Nash, D'Antoni, et al have done a goodly amount of jackassing about Kobe. They now have an absolute opportunity to brazen it out for all concerned. That's so rare an opportunity. Aren't hate & love such strange bedfellows? They'll make you perform all manner of acts, from vengeance to mayhem, to murder. The aforementioned aren't after murder or mayhem, nor love, but, perhaps vengeance.

Agreed. They would love nothing more than to "prove" they're better without Kobe. That motivation could propel them to an unlikely upset. Or it could doom them.

& God bless him, Kobe is unabashedly hoping for the latter.

It's a joke that Gasol is being considered for DPOY after that ful performance.
When the has Gasol ever been considered a rugged defender? The only thing rugged about him is the stubble on his pussy.
