Trust me I could spend the rest of the day listing artists you've never heard, care to try me? So cool this ridiculous...or listened to.....that's funny.
nothing like an Avante thread to bring the forum together.

That's right..evolved. Who starts out listening to Blind Blake?
And none of that is necessary for one to enjoy a series of songs.
Looks like the gays are pissed off and banding together again...priceless.
How could you possibly know? You can't stop yourself from attempting to impress everyone with you musical "knowledge". I don't need to do that. I don't have the need to feel validated.
Looks like SBM is trying too hard again.
How many instruments do you play?
![]()
You have any idea how many gays I can bench press?
I bet if I said...the best way to enjoy music is to jumble it all up....I'd be reading..."you are kidding right, ya want a theme"..ya reckon?
Oh yeah, you're still.."da man"...bro.
Did you notice as soon as I threw the word "gay" out - who ran in here in defense?
I'll give you a clue: One post before yours...![]()
Why is that impressive? Is Blind Blake a stopping point? Isn't evolution about constant movement and growth? Do you feel like you're not evolving unless you are leaving previous knowledge behind?
So talk to me about...
Buddy Boy Hawkins
Rube Lacy
The Callahan Brothers
Asa Martin
The Skillet Lickers
Uncle Dave Macon
Mississippi Matilda
Blind Mamie Forehand
The Sparks Brothers
Bobby Grant
Freezone
Kolvane
Chronic Tendancies
Bessie Tucker
Bobbie Cadillac
Ida Cox
Patsy Montana
Elvie Thomas
Mississippi Moaner
Son Bonds
......I could do that the rest of the day and you have never heard of any of them.
You and SBM really should trade your fantasies via PM.
And it would still make absolutely no difference to anyone, anywhere, about anything.
I could have said...
Blind Willie Walker
Blind Joe Taggard
Blind Willie Johnson
Blind Boy Fuller
Blind Willie Reynolds
Blind Gary Davis
Blind Teddy Darby
Blind Mamie Forehand
....hahahaha!!!!!!!!!!
silver fits right in with Avante, tbh.
If that's the way you like to listen to music, that's great. No one has said otherwise. Whatever works for you works for you, regardless whether or not it works for me or anyone else.
But it's completely asinine to suggest that the way you listen to music is objectively better, deeper, more highly evolved than the ways in which other people listen to music. And it's factually inaccurate to call it broader, since eliminating music that doesn't adhere to a certain genre or time period is a process of narrowing.
Why wouldn't I have? I own several American folk blues collections. I am not interested in specifically discussing music with you because I don't think you are interesting.
Great. Why don't you answer the question?
Incredible!
I do listen to a wide range of music I just lump it all together as oppossed to jumble on a particular tape or CD. In a 24 hour period...
Blues
Country
African Tribal
Gospel
Classical
Rap
Soul
...a very real possibility.
What I'm talking about is a CD/tape/record with a theme. Not me passing up on vareity.
Wow~~~~~~~
So do I and most those I mentioned aren't there. Just admit it, you haven't heard all that stuff and we both know that.
The ability to make lists does not indicate any kind of knowledge, btw.
Well then you try it, give me a list of pre1950 Country, can't do it can you?
so making a mix tape with a specific theme in mind. Ok.
Wow, if only you could communicate better.
