Something we can actually agree on. Westbrook is a huge got that chucks his team out of games and leaves the bench to go to the locker room when things don't go his way. Perhaps this injury is a blessing in disguise for him from a humility standpoint.
Considering The Rape and The Achilles didn't stop Kirby from being an annoying egotistical prick, I doubt this will stop Westbrick, tbh...

His tantrums, celebrations, and lack of basketball IQ don't get to you?
In terms of it being a little annoying - sure? But I definitely don't get hating him for it. He works hard, seems to have a good personality and he's a great player. I hate guys like Kobe that literally seem like s bags in real life. WB does not appear to be that way to me.

Thats not passionate, man. Thats some pretentious arrogant to me. He actually might be a bigger got than Kobe atleast Kobe doesnt disrespect the media, opponents, and teammates as blatantly tbh.

Man, that sucks for Westbrook and the Thunder. It sucks to get hit by another player and then suffer a major injury like that, Westbrook is probably livid. I don't blame him if he is though, I tore my ACL on a clothesline on a layup...I was beyond irate for months. When Westbrook wakes up from the surgery is when he'll really feel angry lol

They both seem to be assholes why discriminate? In the end it doesnt matter they are paid to ball not be your friend? Some of you guys (not going at you DPG) in general are more sensitive about this than females.

    MJ? Asshole
    Achilles? Same
    Westbrook? Ditto
Would I rather play with Magic or Lebron? Sure, but I aint in the NBA. As long as they help their team win WGAF?

Wouldnt be surprised if he came back in the WCF/Finals if they get that far tbh. About time the injury bug hit them though, seems like those meth heads are always healthy. Couldnt have happened to a bigger got either imo.
You're kidding about coming back, right? Meniscus tear is about as bad a knee injury as one can get in the NBA, since meniscus is completely dead and never grows back. Think Chris Webber, Brandon Roy, Anfernee Hardaway, etc. Remember how much athleticism Duncan lost after his meniscus tear? Westbrook will never be the same player again.

Calling a got a got isnt being sensitive tbh. Chimp is a freak of nature and a very good player despite being trigger happy but that doesnt mean he isnt a huge got.

Just looked at that replay of Westbrook getting hit by Beverly calling a timeout. Looks like that play actually might of done more damage than originally thought. that and ignorant ass Rocket fans.
Stuff happens. I strongly doubt it was intentional. Then again, asking for a thunderfan to think about something logically makes about as much sense as asking a pile of to do handstands.

I think theres different severities tbh. I dont think his meniscus is completely gone like Roy for example.

Bledsoe had a meniscus tear this year as well and hes still an elite athlete. Missed 26 games though.

It was a freak accident, Beverley was going for the ball.... considering the dirty players OKC has, a Thunderfan getting outraged over perceived dirty play is laughable, tbh....

Crap, never realized Bledsoe tore it too. Hopefully Westbrook's is lateral rather than radial and he doesn't lose his speed, agility, nor jumping ability. I talk a lot of about Methlahoma, but in reality they're one of my favorite teams to watch.

this isn't necessarily true - depends on a lot of factors i.e. type of meniscus tear, age of patient, etc. - many meniscus tears heal pretty well with repair, especially in younger patients without pre-existing knee degeneration. treatment for meniscus tears has actually come a long way in the last 10-15 years - they used to just take the entire torn portion out, which leads to a lot worse results.

Damn, this has been a nightmare year for the league.

Westbrook - out for the season
Rose - out for the season
Bryant - out for the season
Lee - out for the season
Rondo - out for the season
Gallinari - out for the season
Bynum - out for the season
