OH wow that TV is relatively pretty cheap. I was under the impression those things still cost an arm and a leg. But in order for 4K to become big, they need people to get new Blu Ray players and new TVs and I doubt the public is ready for that. We probably are but not the average person. And we need a faster internet structure for Netflix to stream that since the average 4K movie is about 100 GB. It feels like it was recently that the public were told to get Blu Ray players and upgrade to HD TVs.

I agree with PC games being cheaper. That's actually a really great thing for PCs.

DRM cripples games just like EA did with Sim City. That's what I mean. Stupid like that pisses me off.
Yeah, they're still an arm and a leg. Here at Bjorn's they have an 80 Inch Sony 4k for 12 grand. No thanks.

As for EA, what the do you expect from them? It's not fair to use EA as an example, they up everything they get their hands on it seems. No wonder why they repeated as the Worst Company in America. I read about the amount of complaints online about SimCity, and giving out free games to kiss pissed customer's asses, but still don't understand their beef to begin with. I've literally never had any issue with DRM. Yeah, I thought it would be cool to play Diablo III offline, but MP is where it's at anyways.

I'm prepared for EA to place the final nail in Battlefield's coffin later this year. I've seen the light and started to play Arma III, which is a multiplayer FPS fan's dream.

On the subject of new tech, this is what has me excited:

    http://www.oculusvr.com/

I can imagine playing a FPS or even a sports game from the 1st person perspective with one of these bas s..It's going to have a realistic price point when it drops too.. some big names in gaming are fully behind this thing already, I think it's gonna be the .

I don't really play either anymore. Not interested enough in either platform much anymore to either fork over the money or bother to pirate. Been content with iOS games at $.99-$5 for 3-4 years now.

PC and console gaming both suck and are getting outdated. always being online, boring sequel reskins, no LAN support, designing games for console ports, designing games specifically for Intel or AMD hardware, pay to play, and other microtransaction bull . The video game industry is more boring and getting just as evil as the recording labels and Hollywood (go to accountants and other financial execs that are in industries they know nothing about)

But with that said I'm a grown ass man that has money and time to spend on toys. Come to daddy.

This is why gaming is being ruined as a whole. Free to play and micro transaction bull for the casuals.

I was a hardcore pc gamer for about 10 years, 97-07 or so. I played on teams in CPL, ETG ladders, for quake 1/2/3. None of the games out there compare to the multiplayer/community experience I had then so I don't bother to spend my time and money on them anymore. The last game I enjoyed was Team Fortress 2 until they made it stupid with all the hat and weapon crafting nonsense. Free to play and micro transition bull had little to nothing to do with it.

What I mean is you are one of the many millions of people who have taken the casual or free to play gaming approach. The industry is being forced to evolve to meet this demographic of casual gamers.

I think this is the most concerning new issue in the industry.

Games being made primarily for one company, and purposely being coded to run like on the other. I read that executives from the major publishers/developers "frown upon" this type of a practice as they are committed to the gamers first and foremost, but it's about the bottom line at the end of the day and they would never admit to this anyway.

How insecure are PC people that they always gotta try to one up console owners like if their lives depended on it. It's hilariously sad
Cant take them seriously to be honest.

Saw the first 5 replies and I just rolled my eyes. PC gamers are like jihadists. The ers think they're way is the only way. Living and dying buy their PC loving convictions.

I like the console convenience side, and it saved me money to boot... I'm not too picky when it comes to gfx if the game is good enough... that said, I don't think I ever owned a console that I didn't have chipped somehow...

If they're going with this 'always-online' bull , they can shove it up their asses, tbh...

I was more reffering to Symple and Cry Havoc.

I wont be getting a next gen console anytime soon either. I still think the PS3 is good enough for now. I'll probably commit to one in about 2 years from now.

    Now you're not making sense.

Buying a console is more expensive then building a PC nowadays.

    Weak ass comebacks.

I could buy gaming rig and both next gen consoles if I wanted. Money ain't got to do with it. ROFL
