So wrong, it's not even funny, tbh... it was that idiot Dell Demps who was going to hand CP3 to the Lakers for nothing, but luckily, Stern wasn't an idiot and was going to get the maximum return as owner, tbh...
When LakerStern tried scamming Chistine Paul to the Lakers, he got blocked loud and clear by Cubes, Dan Gilbert and who knows who else.
Since Houston and other teams had so much better offers for Dwight Coward, is anyone sounding off against the current scam or has the hush money been distributed well?

Stern only rescinded the CP3 trade because he was pressured to by the owners, having just come away from the bargaining table where they talked about stopping stars forcing their way to big markets, allowing the rich to get richer. Gilbert, Cuban, and several other unnamed owners (wouldn't doubt if the Spurs had something to say about it) demanded the NBA rescind the trade since they were ALL part owners of the Hornets.
Stern would have personally LOVED to see CP3 in a Laker uni...
And you KNOW he's all giddy now about Howard in purple and gold. Lakers vs Heat in Finals = big $$$ for NBA....
I'm sure he preferred avoiding the embarrassment and sunk cost of the league still owning the Hornets now if that trade went down, tbh.....
They couldn't do if they tried because Magic had a owner while NOH was owned by the league
sons ever since the WWE bought out WCW and merged with the NBA back in 2001, professional sports entertainment hasn't been the same. I mean even Vince McMahon being the CEO of the WWE and the Executive Vice President / Chief Marketing Officer of their sister company the NBA doesn't give a anymore. case and point ...

What's funny is the trade Stern agreed to made the team significantly worse that they would have been had the initial trade been approved.
Elaborate, tbh?..
Hey, let's be proud of our franchises, tbh... both know how to game the system.
The Spurs would be stuck in "regular season warriors" territory if it weren't for Pop's carefully planned tanking operation.
pop also plotted up the health issue about batum preceding the draft night, french dude wanted to join them spurs and pop asked him to fake the disease so he would drop down the line to the late 1st round where the spurs could draft him, but it didn't work![]()
He's in portand, he'll be injured soon enough, tbh
That's what happens when you are owned by the league. It puts Stern in a precarious position. It's a conflict of interest and there's no possible way he could separate the needs of the league from the needs of the Hornets in his decision making. However, his decision was based on team need, not league need as the Lakers have always gotten the lion's share of the talent in the league. In the end, DH was going to go where he wanted to go, because as we saw with Odom, the players now have wrested control from the league and owners, and can just elect to sand bag it if they get sent elsewhere.
This is why I say the NBA will decrease in shares while the NFL increases.
Worse record, but better position for the future.... they tanked their way to the #1 pick, got ANOTHER lotto pick in the trade, and still have The Cornerstone to build around.... if they get Odom and Scola, Anthony Davis is a Bobcat and they can kiss any bright future goodbye, tbh...
Also, they were able to find a buyer for the Hornets, whereas nobody would buy a , irrelevant team built around disgruntled TOSB's....
lol pretty ty tank job considering we barely got Duncan.
Don't forget Kevin Martin was in that deal going to the Hornets too.
Quotes from Cuban, Rockets FO, others on the scam?
And even then, it took a bull rule banning the Grizzlies from getting the #1 pick even though they were the worst team in the league, tbh...
"Significantly worse"? Sounds like what the Howard trade made the Lakers![]()
