Nothing here disputes the fact you just displayed a textbook example of an ad-hominem argument.
All right. I have no reason to disagree with you. As I said, before my time.
If how you characterized the situation were accurate, I'd agree with you.So in order to prevent himself from stabbing people he needs a false prophet as a crutch to believe in. Sounds like someone who should be euthanized tbh.
I agree with the mainstream scientific theories. Evolution was one of my majors in college. But those theories aren't evidence for atheism; their evidence against the creation theories presented by religions. Nothing about evolution or the big bang theory exclude the idea of a god; in fact, they'd both make just as much if not more sense by including a god in the theory. You mean logical and scientific evidence?
Evolution and the Big Bang theory are what is created based off all available evidence. Just because you can't conclusively say it's true doesn't mean it's just as illogical or faith based as jeebo ism. Committing yourself to the side that presents scientific evidence and actual research rather than the side that presents a book is a lot more intellectually responsible.
Saying atheism isn't more factual than theism demonstrates a gross amount of stupidity and blind defense of jeebo ism.
I don't want to get too into this, as this is crazy-off topic now. But logically speaking, we know that we are machines, that the whole universe is pretty well organized system on a mathematical level. Why is evidence showing how we were created evidence against the idea that we were created? It'd be like robots being able to prove they how they were built and taking that as evidence of not being made by intelligent forces. I know they can see us, and we can't see god and all that. But if humans were long extinct when the robots found out, they may have the same reaction. There was an interesting episode of Futurama about that, actually, if you have ever watched the show. I think that those are the reasons why we have to keep an open mind in all this.
Nothing here disputes the fact you just displayed a textbook example of an ad-hominem argument.
He is really pretentious, but is entertaining whenever the bible and butt ing are brought up. It just sends him over the edge.
Try to appreciate him now while you can. Unless the HIV vaccine is developed in time, DoK might end up another statistic of natural selection I'm afraid.
Guys like DoK are the modern day bible thumpers.
That's telling me.
The only people getting sent over the edge are the ones like you having nightmares about a society accepting of gay people
"You must be gay the way you support gay marriage!"
It's all good it's why I threw out the gay slurs because again I think ... it's a good dialogue.
If you go back and look at my posts in this thread ...
I have called for a "star gay player to come out ...
I have defended bible thumpers rights to disagree ..
I have mocked Collins as an "active" player ...
I have also made a few gay jokes ...
If people get too sensitive or trenchedin to their owm mores ...then the gets boring ...
And that Collins is the Jackie Robinson of sucking even the most enlightened have to admit that is funny ...crass but funny.
But even if DOK is a bible thumper he has a right to live that way same as JAson Collins ...even more right ..since he wont be going to !
Joking ...
^ then what do you have against Welshers...sounds like we are ONE
The quiet ones who just sit at home and read their bible still get some blame for giving money to organizations like 'focus on the family' and voting for for politicians trying to eliminate the separation of church and state.
no ...but Collins is an ugly Mofo..why couldn't it have at least been a handsome dude representing the gay blacks
uhh oh....
Collins Gave Okafor Advance Notice Of Announcement
Apr 30, 2013 12:02 AM EDT
Emeka Okafor was one of a select group of people that was informed of Jason Collins' announcement of his sexuality on Monday.
Okafor said Collins was "calm, collected and cool" during their conversation.
"I'm happy for him and I congratulated him," Okafor told Yahoo! Sports on Monday. "While it's a great thing, it's tough not knowing how it will be perceived. Whenever you're the first there is always that uncertainty.
"He called me right before the article came out and told me. But before that I didn't know. I told him that I thought it was a very brave thing that he's doing."
Okafor believes there would be no issue with Collins returning to the Wizards next season.
"We all get along so great," Okafor said. "Jason was part of the group. I thought the only difference is him coming out saying he's gay. He's still the same person. He still has the same rapport with us. Everything is going to be the same."
Okafor expects Collins to continue his NBA career.
"For a gay athlete to come out and announce that he's gay is a huge deal," Okafor said. "The majority of us don't have that pressure or are harboring a secret that others might look down upon. We don't have to put on an act and pretend like we are the same as the next person when we're different. You may be punished because of that difference. The effort of him coming out and being the first one, I think it is [noteworthy]. Should it be a big deal? That's a bigger question that goes into the times we are in.
"We would like to say no, but that's just the way things are right now. With Jason's help, I think he's going to make it so later on it won't be a big deal and when the next person comes out we don't really care. People will say, ‘I'm gay,' and we'll say, ‘OK. So what. Put on a jersey, let's go.' That's a point that he's trying to get it to."
Pretty much. It's painfully ironic.
Koolaids_Man! So when you and your gym "partner" are rolling around on the ground do you say "no "?
when your legs are wrapped around his waist do you make eye contact?

The actual logical conclusion to that would be "we don't know who created what, more scientific research on this area is needed". Filling up the gaps with fairy tales about a giant ark, a sea separated by an old man with a staff, some mind-controlled bears killing children, etc is not serious, tbh...
this is why i never back down on a guy lowposting or any postup for position....
This country and world is a disgrace
Tax me out the wazoo, give foreigners all kinds of money
Said foreigners subsequently blow up runners, provide them with lawyers free of charge
Some lousy basketball player comes out the closet, we must be open minded and celebrate all things gay
Someone else with religious beliefs speaks about their beliefs, lets on them
Only in America can you be treated better as a bomb wielding Muslim than someone who is really into the bible
Repent before the god damned locusts come and the frogs fall from the sky
I wish I was that little kid
He'll probably never be as happy again as he was right there. It's sad in a way.
lol sensitive got
Of course the liberal media is going to praise this situation with Jason Collins, it fits the agenda. It's interesting to see how someone like this gets treated vs. a Tim Tebow, who openly professes to be a Christian. Anyone who can't see the double standard in that comparison is blind or chooses to be. Anyone who disagrees will be labeled as a "hater". You cannot "disagree" with the gay lifestyle these days and not be labeled.
This NBA player professes that hes "gay" and next thing you know Mic e Obama is tweeting about him, Obama gives him a phone call, all of the major media outlets go out of their way to write glorious articles about how brave he is. Yet, a man like Tim Tebow, that has openly held a pro-life stance, his religious beliefs, ect. gets a bad reputation in the media for holding such views. The media is a joke these days. I'm not saying there is not a conservative media, im just saying the Liberal media is so quick to jump on other people and discriminate but when something like this story comes up its GOLDEN.
I know this will rustle most of the atheist posters here, however, this is true and you know it.
Who gives a about who the liberal media idolizes? Yes, there is a conservative media, and they slurped Tebow non-stop during the peak of his popularity.... I seem to recall Tebow being talked about constantly on Faux News, usually becausesome mean old lib'rul bashed him for being a Christian
or some like that.... anyway, someone like Jason Collins being slurped is just the left's version of that, tbh.....
